Rest assured; we will always be clear about role expectations.\nImportant Disclaimer:\n**Please note: A few of our roles may require in-person interviews at Cognizant offices or client locations, depending on project or client needs.**\n**Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future**\nIn this role, you will:\nDesign and develop scalable, maintainable, and high-performing Android applications using Kotlin and Java.\nAnalyze business requirements, recommend technical solutions, and lead discussions with Technical Program Managers, technical leads, and project stakeholders.\nBuild application features in accordance with established coding standards and Android development best practices.\nCreate unit tests and meet or exceed the code-coverage targets established by the project.\nSupport application testing, release management, and successful deployment to production.\nImplement appropriate application monitoring solutions based on client and project requirements.\nPrepare and maintain technical designs, service specifications, and application documentation.\nProvide technical guidance to developers preparing functional and technical specifications.\nWhat you need to have to be considered\nSix or more years of professional Android application development experience.\nStrong hands-on experience with the Android SDK and Android Studio.\nProficiency in Kotlin and Java for Android application development.\nExperience designing and developing applications using MVVM, MVC, or MVI architecture.\nExperience building unit tests and working toward established code-coverage requirements.\nKnowledge of Android application testing, production deployment, and app distribution processes.\nAbility to analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to lead technical conversations and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.\nThese will help you stand out\nExperience providing technical guidance or mentorship to Android developers.\nKnowledge of application monitoring and production-support practices.\nExperience preparing technical designs, service specifications, and functional documentation.\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.\nExperience contributing to coding standards, design reviews, and application-quality initiatives.\nWe’re excited to meet people who share our mission and can make an impact in a variety of ways.
