The ideal candidate should be passionate about quality, automation best practices, and continuous improvement in the testing lifecycle.\nIn this role, you will\nBuild and maintain API automation frameworks from scratch.\nDesign, develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java,TestNG and Selenium/Playwright.\nDesign, develop, and execute API automation scripts using Rest Assured.\nEnsure comprehensive test coverage for both frontend (UI) and backend (API, database) components.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software solutions.\nEnsure timely delivery of automation test coverage as part of Agile sprints.\nApply your understanding of Generative AI platforms to test AI-driven features or utilize AI tools to optimize the testing lifecycle.\nCommunicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress and quality metrics.\nRequired skills\nOverall 6-10 years of experience as an SDET or in a similar automation testing role.\nMust have strong proficiency in Java programming.\nMinimum 4 years of hands-on automation experience using Java, Selenium, Junit, TestNG, Maven, BDD Cucumber framework.\nMust have 2+ years of exp. in API Automation Test using Rest Assured.\nExposure to test GraphQL will be an added advantage.\nSolid understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, authentication, and JSON/XML.\nGood SQL and Database testing experience.\nExposure to GenAI platforms like COPILOT is must.\nKnowledge of CI/CD integration tools and practices.\nPreferred skills\nExperience in Banking Domain.\nAI-driven testing experience.\nWe're eager to meet people who share our mission and can make an impact in various ways. The base salary for this position ranges between CAD 65,000 - 90,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.\nWorking arrangements\nWe believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible.
