The Senior Aveva PI Software Engineer needs to have an in-depth experience of OSI Data Historian Systems, Control Systems and Process Analysis.\nThe successful candidate should have an extensive background in Software Engineering with experience in systems analysis and software development within the pharmaceutical industry.\nHe/she should be highly motivated, an innovative thinker and self-starter, with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills\nResponsibilities:\nLead the Aveva PI Team to upgrade ATO’s PI System\nReview and analysis of User Requirements Specification Documents\nSupport development of the Detail Design specifications and system architectures\nDevelopment of PI Tags, Asset Framework (AF) templates and AF Analyses, PI Event Frames\nDevelopment of PI Graphic User Interface / Visuals\nSupport Software development, testing, commissioning and qualification\nAbility to provide first line PI sustaining support\nPI Data migrations for PI tag and PI AF data, SQL data migrations\nSupport the execution of system changes and optimisation under site change control\nPI Qualification Execution\nJob Functions\nSolid understanding of the Aveva PI system\nExperience in upgrading PI Systems and Leading teams in these upgrades.\nExperience installing, configuring, validating, and tuning PI Server and interfaces.\nExperience of data migrations for Aveva PI and SQL Server\nExperience using the PI client tools including PI Vision, DataLink and PI RtReports\nExperience implementing analytic solutions with PI Asset Framework, PI AF Analytics, and Performance Equations\nSolid understanding of Windows OS, networking, and system security fundamentals\nAnalytical and troubleshooting skills and methodical approaches to solving difficult problems.\nStrong MS Word and Excel skills\nTeam oriented, but self-sufficient\nExcellent communication skills and client-facing rapport\nNon-essential Job Functions\nSoftware development experience in .NET using disciplined coding and testing regiments.\nExperience writing software applications and web services using PI-SDK and AF-SDK\nExperience installing and configuring web-based applications.\nRequirements:\nFamiliarity with ISA 88 and GAMP\nMinumim over 10+ years relevant industry PI experience\nPharma industry experience is essential\nSQL expert\nPI System Training\nBachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience\nSalary and Other Compensation:\nThe annual salary for this position is between $120-132Kdepending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.\nThis position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.\nBenefits: Cognizant offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:\n· Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance\n· Paid holidays plus Paid Time Off\n· 401(k) plan and contributions\n· Long-term/Short-term Disability\n· Paid Parental Leave\n· Employee Stock Purchase Plan\nDisclaimer: The salary, other compensation, and benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting.
