As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and managing our cloud infrastructure on a major public cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP), ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of our applications and services.\nThe Senior DevOps Engineer will be involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle, including requirement gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.\nThey will also be able to collaborate with other team members, including other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software on time.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on Azure, AWS, or GCP, including managed Kubernetes, serverless functions, virtual machines, application gateways/load balancers, and API management services.\nDevelop and maintain Pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) of applications and services.\nImplement infrastructure as code using Terraform to automate provisioning and configuration management tasks.\nContainerize applications using Docker and orchestrate them using Kubernetes (k8s) for scalable and resilient deployment.\nWrite automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python to streamline routine tasks and enhance operational efficiency.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications in the cloud environment.\nDemonstrate experience, ability to work independently, mentor others and contribute to raising projects technical maturity.\nMonitor and optimize the performance, availability, and cost of cloud resources, implementing best practices for security and compliance.\nJob Requirements\nEssential Skills:\nProven experience in a DevOps or cloud infrastructure engineering role.\nHands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP), including its compute, networking, serverless, and API management services.\nStrong experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including managed services (e.g., AKS, EKS, GKE).\nHands-on experience with Terraform (infrastructure as code).\nExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).\nScripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.\nSolid understanding of Git, networking, and cloud security fundamentals.\nPractical experience using AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, Gemini Code Assist) to speed up scripting, infrastructure as code, pipeline development, and troubleshooting, with sound judgement in reviewing and validating AI-generated output.\n\nFluent English, written and spoken.\n\nNice to Have Skills.\nKnowledge of other automation tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.\nExperience with agentic workflows in observability, triage and general DevOps practices.\nQualifications:\nNice to have:\nCloud certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator or DevOps Engineer Expert, AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer).\n Multi-cloud experience (working with more than one of Azure, AWS, or GCP).\nExperience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, Amazon CloudWatch, Google Cloud Monitoring).\nWhat we offer:\nOpportunity to be part of a global organization.\nEncouraging working atmosphere, engaging activities, and extra benefits (e.g. additional medical insurance (covers gym subscription), team events, outreach activities, and others);\nHybrid work model with remote work opportunities ( 3/5 days weekly from the office)\nOpen, modern, and ergonomic work environment when working from the office with the multicultural community.\nOpportunity to grow professionally and personally (e.g. Udemy) and continuously develop within the domain.\nThe salary range for this position is from 4485 to 5950 EURO gross before taxes.**Salary offer for the candidate is determined based on the predefined salary ranges for the position and depends on the level of competence and experience of the candidate.\n\nCognizant, as a digital company, makes employee health and safety its top priority.
