This role combines hands-on development with technical leadership across backend, frontend, microservices, AWS, CI/CD, and modern AI-assisted engineering practices.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and develop scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices\nBuild RESTful APIs and integrate services using Kafka\nDevelop frontend applications using React or Angular\nDeploy and support cloud-native solutions on AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes\nImplement automated testing, CI/CD, security, and application resiliency best practices\nTroubleshoot production issues and automate recurring operational problems\nUse enterprise-approved AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and code quality\nProvide technical guidance and promote reusable engineering patterns across teams\nRequired Skills\n5+ years of software engineering/full-stack development experience\nStrong Java & Spring Boot development experience\nHands-on Microservices & REST API development\nReact/ReactJS or Angular\nAWS, Docker & Kubernetes\nKafka and Cassandra/NoSQL experience\nCI/CD and automation experience\nTesting tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Selenium, or Cucumber\nStrong understanding of Agile, SDLC, security, and application resiliency\nExperience with AI-assisted software development tools\nFinancial services experience is highly preferred\nBest-fit profile: A hands-on Java Full Stack Engineer with strong Spring Boot/microservices expertise, modern frontend experience, and solid AWS/cloud-native engineering skills.\nCompensation: - $80,000 to $115,000 + COLA and this position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
