You will be a valued member of the engineering team, collaborating with AWS leads, architects, QA teams, product owners, and offshore developers to deliver high-quality solutions that support business growth and operational excellence.\nIn this role, you will:\nLead the design, development, and delivery of modern .NET services and APIs, supporting the migration of legacy applications to a cloud-native architecture.\nDrive engineering excellence through sprint planning, code reviews, coding standards, and best practices for quality and maintainability.\nPartner with business and product stakeholders to refine requirements, define acceptance criteria, and ensure successful delivery of customer features.\nMentor and guide offshore development teams, remove delivery blockers, and provide regular progress updates to project leadership.\nModernize legacy data architectures by extracting business logic from SQL Server stored procedures into scalable C# services while maintaining functional parity through automated testing.\nSupport CI/CD pipelines and production releases, ensuring secure, reliable deployments and adherence to compliance and delivery standards.\nUtilize AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity while maintaining accountability for code quality, security, and technical decisions.\nWork model (Remote)\nWe strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Rest assured, we will always be clear about role expectations.\nWhat you need to have to be considered\n12+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years working with modern .NET and ASP.NET Core Web APIs.\nProven experience designing, building, and deploying microservices or independently deployable distributed applications.\nStrong expertise in C#, .NET, SQL Server, and advanced T-SQL development.\nHands-on experience migrating business logic from stored procedures into application services.\nSolid understanding of RESTful API design, OpenAPI specifications, OAuth 2.0, and JWT-based security models.\nExperience with EF Core, Dapper, asynchronous programming, and application performance optimization.\nHands-on AWS experience, including ECS/Fargate, RDS for SQL Server, and messaging/event-driven technologies such as SQS, SNS, or EventBridge.\nExperience implementing automated testing frameworks, including unit, integration, and API/contract testing.\nDemonstrated leadership experience managing and mentoring development teams, including offshore resources.\nThese will help you stand out\nExperience modernizing large-scale legacy platforms within enterprise environments.\nKnowledge of event-driven and cloud-native architecture patterns.\nExperience working in highly regulated environments with security and compliance requirements.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and automated deployment strategies.\nExperience with AI-assisted software development tools and engineering productivity platforms.\nBenefits: \nCognizant offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:\nMedical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance. \nPaid holidays plus Paid Time Off. \n401(k) plan and contributions. \nLong-term/Short-term Disability. \nPaid Parental Leave. \nEmployee Stock Purchase Plan.**Please note: A few of our roles may require in-person interviews at Cognizant offices or client locations, depending on project or client needs.**\n\nCompensation\nThe annual salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $155,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
