This role serves as a senior technical escalation point for complex network issues, major incidents, and operational improvements.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide advanced L2/L3 support for network incidents and outages.\nTroubleshoot and resolve issues across LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, SD-WAN, cloud, and security environments.\nLead incident response for critical business-impacting events and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).\nSupport network hardware refreshes, software upgrades, and technology deployments.\nReview and implement network changes following change management processes.\nMaintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.\nMentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.\nDevelop automation solutions using Python, Ansible, APIs, or Terraform.\nImprove monitoring, observability, and operational efficiency.\nCoordinate with vendors and technology partners to resolve complex issues.\nRequired Experience\n8+ years of enterprise networking experience.\n5+ years in a Network Operations environment.\nExperience supporting large, geographically distributed enterprises.\nStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.\nRequired Technologies\nCisco SD-WAN\nCisco Meraki (LAN/WLAN)\nPalo Alto Firewalls & Panorama\nZscaler\nAWS Networking\nMicrosoft Azure Networking\nAviatrix\nInfoblox DNS/DHCP\nTechnical Skills\nRouting: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP\nSwitching and Wireless Networking\nFirewalls, VPNs, ZTNA, SASE\nCloud Networking (AWS & Azure)\nAutomation using Python, Ansible, Terraform, APIs, GitHub\nIncident & Problem Management\nRoot Cause Analysis (RCA)\nPreferred Certifications\nCCNP Enterprise\nCCIE\nPalo Alto PCNSE\nAzure AZ-700\nAWS Advanced Networking Specialty\nITIL Foundation\nIdeal Candidate\nA hands-on network operations expert who takes ownership, excels in troubleshooting complex enterprise environments, leads major incident response, mentors team members, and drives automation and operational improvements.\nSalary and Other Compensation:\nThe annual salary for this position is between 94000 to 107000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.\nThis position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.\nBenefits: Cognizant offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:\nMedical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance\nPaid holidays plus Paid Time Off\nLong-term/Short-term Disability\nPaid Parental Leave\nWork model:\nAt Cognizant, we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible, and we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.
