You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team and work collaboratively with development teams, business stakeholders, and cross-functional partners to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.\nIn This Role, You Will\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Java and modern software design principles.\nBuild and execute automated test suites for UI, API, and backend validation using Playwright and related technologies.\nLead end-to-end testing activities, including test planning, execution, functional validation, defect management, and delivery ownership.\nImplement test data management and automation best practices to improve test efficiency, reliability, and overall quality.\nCollaborate with development and business teams, contribute Insurance or Wealth Management domain expertise, and provide meaningful quality metrics and status updates to senior stakeholders.\nWork Model\nWe believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Rest assured, we will always be clear about role expectations.\nWhat You Need to Have to Be Considered\nAt least six years of experience in software testing and test automation.\nStrong proficiency in Java, including Streams, Lambdas, Collections, and modern design patterns.\nHands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based automation frameworks.\nStrong experience using Playwright for UI automation, API testing, and backend validation.\nStrong manual testing capabilities, including test design, execution, functional validation, and defect lifecycle management.\nExperience with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines, along with a solid understanding of test data management and automation best practices.\nProven ability to lead testing activities independently and drive deliverables through successful completion.\nExcellent communication, stakeholder-management, and collaboration skills, including experience producing QA metrics, status reports, and executive-level quality updates.\nThese will help you stand out\nDomain knowledge in Insurance and/or Wealth Management.\nWorking knowledge of Kafka, MongoDB, and AWS S3.\nExperience working in Agile or Scrum delivery environments.\nExposure to enterprise-scale testing programs and digital transformation initiatives.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities.\nWe're excited to meet people who share our mission and can make an impact in a variety of ways. The base salary for this position ranges between CAD 80,000 - 110,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications.
