The technology platform spans the breadth of Windows and Linux platforms, Python / Java environments, HDFS, Kafka , MS SQL , Snowflake , Data bricks platforms.\nIn this role, you will\nAutomate assigned areas/features using the existing Framework and provide the test estimations, build automation scripts using Python & Unix.\nDesign and maintain automated test frameworks using Python and Robot Framework.\nEnsure comprehensive test coverage for both frontend (UI) and backend (API, database) components.\nPerform data validation using SQL DB queries and handling medium to complex queries with ease.\nSupport the implementation of the QE Program and overall QE process and standards through continuous test execution and reporting.\nLeverages the existing automation frameworks, tools and artefacts to ensure the testing process is continuous, comprehensive and fully autonomous.\nImplement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.\nResponsible for doing hands on testing and day-to-day interaction with a team of QE practitioners, and developers and driving test case for projects/programs.\nRequired skills\nOverall 6-10 years of experience in a QE/test environment with a focus on technical, automated testing in a variety of environments (cloud, distributed and mainframe, business workflows and services/APIs, databases).\nHands-on experience in Python, SQL and Unix testing platform, code reviews prior to code deployments, integration test automation.\nMust have 3+ years of Hands-on coding experience in Python.\nMust have good experience with SQL database and writing complex SQL queries.\nMinimum 2 years of test development experience working on the latest technologies and frameworks.\nStrong Experience in a variety of test automation frameworks/tools e.g., (Robot Framework, SoapUI, Selenium, TestNG) and script development using scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, Bash, etc.).\nFamiliarity with Linux/Unix environments and Unix Shell Scripting.\nGood knowledge of Testing Life Cycle, Shift left approach and Defect Management processes for application support and development.\nGood knowledge with QE Processes, Methodologies and Test Design techniques with hands-on experience on ALM, JIRA and Confluence.\nPreferred skills\nExperience with banking domain.\n\nCertifications in Python, DevOps, or Cloud technologies are a plus.\n\nExposure to Gen AI, LLM, Data Engineering.\n\nExperience with Linux and shell scripting.\n\nWe're eager to meet people who share our mission and can make an impact in various ways. The base salary for this position ranges between CAD 70,000 - 90,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.\nWorking arrangements\nWe believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible.
