You will be a valued member of the technology delivery team and work collaboratively with product owners, business stakeholders, development teams, quality engineers, architects, and infrastructure partners to deliver scalable solutions that support merchandising and core business objectives.\nIn this role, you will:\nLead the end-to-end delivery of complex Java full stack applications, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, performant, and aligned with business goals.\nTranslate business requirements into technical specifications, solution designs, and implementation plans while guiding cross-functional teams through delivery.\nDrive project management activities including planning, estimation, dependency management, risk mitigation, status reporting, and scope control.\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, promoting engineering best practices, code quality, automated testing, and secure software development.\nPartner with stakeholders across merchandising, product, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to streamline delivery processes and ensure successful project outcomes.\nWork model\nAt Cognizant, we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible, and we are here to support a healthy work-life balance through our various wellbeing programs. Rest assured; we will always be clear about role expectations.\nWhat you need to have to be considered\n10-12 years of experience in enterprise application development, with progressive responsibility in technical leadership, solution design, and project delivery.\nStrong hands-on experience in Advanced Java development, including enterprise application architecture and backend services.\nExtensive experience with Spring Boot, Quarkus, Microservices architecture, REST APIs, and GraphQL services.\nHands-on experience designing, developing, and supporting scalable distributed systems and cloud-native applications.\nHands-on knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including deployment, monitoring, and cloud-native service integration.\nStrong experience with frontend technologies and full stack development practices.\nProven experience managing software development projects, including planning, execution, dependency management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication.\nStrong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, distributed systems, API design, and performance optimization in large-scale enterprise environments.\nExperience leading engineering teams, conducting code reviews, implementing SDLC best practices, and driving CI/CD adoption.\nDemonstrated expertise in secure coding standards, application performance tuning, and production support.\nAbility to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams in a fast-paced enterprise environment.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.\nThese will help you stand out\nExperience supporting merchandising, retail, or omnichannel business functions, including pricing, inventory, assortment planning, and product management systems.\nExperience building and integrating enterprise platforms using cloud-native architectures and modern API frameworks.\nExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.\nKnowledge of DevOps practices, infrastructure automation, observability, and monitoring tools.\nExperience delivering solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in enterprise-scale environments.\nStrong mentoring and coaching skills with a passion for developing high-performing engineering teams.\nBenefits: \nCognizant offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:\nMedical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance. \nPaid holidays plus Paid Time Off. \n401(k) plan and contributions. \nLong-term/Short-term Disability. \nPaid Parental Leave. \nEmployee Stock Purchase Plan. **Please note: This position required in person interview in the client office\n\nWe're excited to meet people who share our mission and can make an impact in a variety of ways.
