We empower our people to think strategically, inspire others, and lead with purpose - always guided by our core values.\nRole Overview\nAs a Virtualization Engineer, you will make an impact by designing, architecting, implementing, and operating production virtualization and hybrid-cloud environments across Nutanix, Microsoft Hyper-V, and AWS. You will be a valued member of the Infrastructure Architecture team and work collaboratively with infrastructure, network, security, vendor teams, and internal and external customers.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, build, and maintain enterprise virtualization platforms with a primary focus on Nutanix AOS and Prism and Microsoft Hyper-V Failover Clustering.\nManage clusters through Prism Element and Prism Central, including health monitoring, upgrades, capacity planning, trend analysis, and lifecycle management.\nPlan and implement platform upgrades, firmware and driver updates, cluster expansions, and maintenance activities while minimizing service disruption.\nTroubleshoot complex compute, storage, and virtualization networking issues, including virtual switches, VLANs, NIC teaming, and MTU configurations.\nUse AWS Systems Manager Fleet Manager and AWS Transform to monitor and manage hybrid systems.\nAssess virtualized workloads, plan migration waves, test migrations, and support workload rehosting to Amazon EC2.\nSupport disaster recovery and business continuity through replication, snapshots, recovery procedures, and periodic testing.\nMaintain monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and thresholds to ensure reliable platform operations.\nAutomate routine administration, reporting, and configuration checks using PowerShell.\nPerform root cause analysis and maintain operational documentation and runbooks.\nAdvise customers on technical requirements and recommended practices. \nRequired Qualifications\nMinimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or Systems Engineer.\nHands-on experience with enterprise virtualization platforms, including Nutanix and Microsoft Hyper-V.\nWorking knowledge of compute, storage, networking, backup, and disaster recovery concepts.\nStrong troubleshooting skills in highly available production environments.\nExperience using PowerShell or similar tools to automate routine administration and reporting.\nFamiliarity with AWS cloud virtualization services, including AWS Transform and AWS Systems Manager Fleet Manager.\nBasic understanding of AWS Well-Architected principles.\nU.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence and eligibility to receive a U.S. Government security clearance. \nPreferred Qualifications\nUnderstanding of secure administration practices, access controls, and compliance-focused environments.\nStrong understanding of Certificate Authority (CA) principles and certificate management.\nExperience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting network issues.\nFamiliarity with IT service design principles and best practices.\nAbility to create clear technical documentation and collaborate effectively with infrastructure, network, security, and vendor teams. \nWork Model\nWe believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible.
