This role is ideal for engineers who are passionate about building scalable data platforms and distributed systems while working across modern cloud and infrastructure technologies.\nYou will design, develop, and operate large-scale data pipelines and services that process massive volumes of structured and unstructured data in both cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) and on-premises environments. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering skills with infrastructure expertise, including Kubernetes, containerization, cloud-native architectures, and platform operations.\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\nDesign, develop, and maintain large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and enrichment pipelines.\nBuild and operate distributed data processing services using technologies such as Java, Python, Kafka, and related ecosystems.\nDesign scalable, resilient, and high-performance data architectures.\nDevelop and optimize data models for analytics, search, graph, and operational workloads.\nDeploy and manage applications across Kubernetes-based environments.\nWork with cloud-native services in AWS and/or GCP while supporting hybrid and on-premises deployments.\nPartner with customers, integration teams, and solution architects to deliver successful implementations.\nMonitor, troubleshoot, and optimize platform performance, reliability, and scalability.\nContribute to infrastructure automation, CI/CD processes, and platform engineering initiatives.\nAbility to travel domestically and internationally as needed for customer engagements, workshops, and deployments.\nRequirements\n5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or Platform Engineering.\nStrong programming experience in Java and/or Python.\nHands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications (Docker).\nExperience working with AWS, GCP, or other public cloud platforms.\nExperience supporting or operating hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.\nSolid understanding of distributed systems and multithreaded applications.\nExperience with SQL and NoSQL databases.\nExperience building and operating production-grade data pipelines.\nStrong troubleshooting and operational skills.\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills.\n\nNice to have:\n\nExperience designing and operating multi-cluster Kubernetes environments.\nExperience with data platforms deployed in highly regulated or air-gapped on-premises environments.\nKnowledge of networking, security, and cloud infrastructure best practices.\nExperience working directly with customer-facing engineering teams.\nIf hired for this position, the base salary range would be between $100k-$120k. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including but not limited to work location, skills, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Cognyte’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include commission and short and long-term incentives.
