This is an opportunity to drive technical excellence at the intersection of healthcare interoperability and modern distributed systems.\nWhat you’ll do:\nTechnical Leadership: Provide technical leadership across architecture, system design, platform scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.\nPlatform Engineering: Design and build scalable, resilient, and high-performing systems that support critical business workflows and enterprise integrations.\nIntegration Solutions: Lead the development and maintenance of secure integrations with internal and external platforms, partners, and third-party systems.\nCloud & Automation: Drive cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and software delivery practices that enable reliable and efficient releases.\nDistributed Systems: Design and support event-driven and distributed architectures that enable scalable and fault-tolerant processing.\nOperational Excellence: Establish monitoring, observability, and incident response practices to ensure system reliability, performance, and availability.\nQuality Engineering: Champion automated testing, quality assurance, and engineering best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.\nProduction Support: Lead the resolution of complex production issues and drive continuous improvement in platform stability and operational efficiency.\nCross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, operations, data, security, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned with organizational goals.\nAgile Delivery: Lead technical planning, design reviews, backlog refinement, and delivery execution within an agile development environment.\nSecurity & Compliance: Ensure solutions adhere to security, privacy, regulatory, and compliance requirements while following industry best practices.\nMentorship & Team Development: Mentor engineers, foster technical excellence, and contribute to hiring, coaching, and career development initiatives.\nISMS roles and responsibilities\nGood knowledge of Information practices.\nAssist the manager in all the information security activities implementation and maintenance process.\nEnsuring the team and imparted with Competence related to Information security\nResponsible for implementation of security policies and procedures and report any issues to the Information Security Manager.\nRequired Qualifications:\nMust-haves\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field; or equivalent experience.\n11+ years of experience in software development, designing, building, and supporting scalable enterprise applications and distributed systems.\nHands-on experience with Java, Groovy, and Spring Boot for building enterprise-grade integration services and APIs.\nExperience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and integrations with external systems, third-party platforms, and partner applications.\nExpertise with authentication/authorization frameworks, secure API design, and access control mechanisms.\nExperience with data modeling and storage design across relational and non-relational database technologies.\nExperience with event-driven architecture patterns and asynchronous messaging using Apache Kafka, AWS SQS, and SNS.\nExperience with cloud infrastructure on AWS, Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, and containerization with Docker.\nExperience with CI/CD pipeline design, deployment automation, and DevOps practices.\nExperience with observability, monitoring, and alerting tools for production system visibility and performance analysis.\nWorking knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards including HL7 FHIR, X12 EDI, and HL7 v2.\nFamiliarity with clinical ontologies such as SNOMED CT, LOINC, and ICD-10.\nAbility to navigate ambiguity, influence stakeholders, and drive technical decisions across teams.\nNice-to-haves:\nExperience in healthcare technology, health plan operations, or prior authorization systems.\nDeep experience applying FHIR resources, X12 transaction sets, and HL7 messaging in production integration workflows.\nAdvanced knowledge of clinical terminologies (SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10) for data mapping and clinical decision support.\nCloud architecture certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect).\nDemonstrated success leading distributed engineering teams.\nAbility to commute/relocate:\nHyderabad, Telangana: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)\nInterview Process*:\nConnect with Talent Acquisition \nMeet with the Hiring Manager\nBehavioral Interview(s)\nCase Study\nInterview with Senior Leadership\n*Subject to change\nAbout Cohere Health:\nCohere Health’s clinical intelligence platform and agentic AI-powered solutions connect health plans’ strategic goals and providers’ needs, optimizing the speed, cost, and quality of care.
