That's why we invest in benefits, time away, and professional growth that help our team members thrive both personally and professionally.\nHighlights Include:\nMedical coverage available on your first day\nEmployer-paid dental coverage\nVision coverage\n401(k) retirement plan\nEmployer-paid Life Insurance, AD&D, and Long-Term Disability coverage\nPet insurance options\nEmployee Assistance Program with mental health, financial, legal, and family support resources\nTravel assistance and identity theft protection\nComplimentary will preparation services\nGenerous paid time off\n16 paid holidays each year, including a Birthday Day and Volunteer Day, in addition to PTO\nProfessional development and growth opportunities\nWhat You'll Do\nLead and Develop the Accounting Team\nOversee day-to-day accounting operations, providing direction, coaching, and support to accounting associates across multiple functions and locations.\nLead accounts receivable activities while supporting accounts payable operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistent service.\nEstablish clear expectations, strengthen accountability, and create opportunities for team training and professional development.\nFoster a collaborative, people-first environment where team members feel supported and take ownership of their work.\nOversee Financial Operations and Reporting\nProvide oversight of accounts receivable functions, including billing, cash receipts, deposits, collections, refunds, owner transfers, and developer and builder transactions.\nSupport accounts payable processes, including vendor payments, tax-related transactions, and annual reporting requirements.\nMonitor delinquency cycles, ensuring compliance with association governing documents and established collection procedures.\nPrepare and review financial and operational reporting, tracking key accounting metrics and identifying opportunities for improvement.\nPartner with senior accounting leadership on general ledger maintenance, account research, internal controls, and audit support.\nHelp ensure accurate financial records and timely communication with internal teams, community stakeholders, and external partners.\nStrengthen Systems and Processes\nIdentify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.\nSupport the implementation, administration, and ongoing improvement of accounting and community management software platforms.\nDevelop and document procedures, provide systems training, and help team members make effective use of available technology.\nLeverage technology and reporting tools to streamline work, improve visibility, and support informed decision-making.\nMaintain strong internal controls and help ensure accounting practices remain consistent across communities.\nSupport Community Growth and Partnerships\nLead accounting setup and onboarding for new communities and association phases, including owner records, balances, assessments, vendors, and collection processes.\nPartner with community leadership, developers, vendors, banking partners, and internal teams to resolve accounting matters and support community needs.\nInterpret association governing documents and apply financial policies consistently and accurately.\nApproach challenges with transparency, collaboration, and a commitment to resolving issues rather than simply passing them along.\nPractice responsible financial stewardship that protects the long-term interests of Cohere and the communities we serve.\nWhat We're Looking For\n7+ years of management or general accounting experience, including at least 3 years of direct responsibility for accounts receivable within community management.\n3-5 years of experience leading accounting teams, including oversight of large, multifunctional teams across multiple locations, with at least 2 years of direct accounts receivable team management required.\n2+ years of experience in HOA, property management, or community management accounting required.\nStrong knowledge of accounts receivable operations, billing, collections, financial reporting, and accounting controls.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, required.\nStrong technical aptitude and experience working across multiple business platforms, databases, and collaborative tools.
