Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.\nPerforms any combination of following tasks to assemble electronic components or sub-assemblies\nReads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed. \nPositions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device. Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment. \nMounts assembled components, such as resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on chassis panel. \nPerforms on-line go-not-go testing and inspection, using magnifying devices, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment, to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.\nEducation & Experience\nSoldering skills are a must\nSMT and lead free soldering experience needed\nBasic computer navigation skills are required\nPWA/PCB hand add or rework experience a plus\nExperience handling laser or light emitting diodes and optics/lenses a plus\nHigh School Diploma or GED preferred and minimum of 5 years or related experience\nSkills\nPositive, self-motivated and a quick learner.\nMeticulous attention to detail.\nProactive, strong team player. \nSafety Requirements\nAll employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corporate standards.\nQuality and Environmental Responsibilities\nDepending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.\nCoherent Corp. is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
