# Assembler

Job Description Position requires use of hand tools to perform a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing, and fitting on assembly units. Most assemblies are comprised of small, delicate components that require careful handling and good eye-hand coordination, often under a microscope or other magnification device. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications. Performs any combination of following tasks to assemble electronic components or sub-assemblies Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed. Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device. Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment.
