Assures goals are met.\nSupport cross training throughout the department and utilize training skills when appropriate.\nEnforce company rules and shop procedures in the processing and support areas.\nProvide problem solving and technical support for daily production issues.\nFocus on maintaining deterministic process controls and sustaining process operations.\nPeriodically works off scheduled shift to support training and improve communication.\nUses experience to improve processes, communicating with manufacturing and process engineers.\nCommunication & Teamwork\nInterpersonal Effectiveness: deal effectively with differences of opinion, influence in a positive manner, draws ideas from others, negotiates and mediates.\n\nTeamwork: develop a cohesive work group, facilitate commitment and enthusiasm, assure cooperation and coordination among peers.\n\nCommunication: express ideas accurately and succinctly in oral and written form; effectively listen and assimilate, present organized trains of thought, assure a timely information exchange.\n\nTrain new employees according to the outlined plan.\n\nWorks effectively as part of a team both internal and external to the department on a project basis to meet expectations and deadlines.\n\nHealth & Safety\nEnsure all departmental and company health and safety policies and procedures are promoted and adhered to.\nEnsure all policies and procedures relating to specified Personal Protective Equipment are followed.\nTakes quick, responsive action to correct any health or safety hazard found in work areas. Initiates corrective measures within 24 hours of hazard identification.\nWork areas are kept clean and orderly.\nEducation & Experience\nEducation: High school diploma\nExperience: >2 years manufacturing experience\nSkills & Other Requirements \nHands-on mindset and approach.\nAbility to multi-task and prioritize\nStrong attention to detail and continual pursuit of improvement\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nMust be team-oriented, works well with others in the group\nISO experience a plus.\nWorking Conditions\nPrimary environment is a clean temperature controlled light manufacturing area with low levels of noise and dirt. \nSteady three shift operation.\nMinimum of 40 hours per week with potential of 8 hours of overtime and weekends as needed\nPhysical Requirements\nCombination of 25% standing and 75% sitting for long periods. Lifting requirements not to exceed 30 lbs.\nSafety Requirements\nAll employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards. Steel toe shoes provided and required. Heat resistant gloves required when handling hot objects.
