Evaluate data from calibration/production runs \nUse calibration equipment to assure proper setup and quality control \nDouble check design and run requirements before loading run \nDocument log information required for design operations \nAccept responsibility for the quality of the thin film coating process and equipment assigned \nRelated Job Tasks\nSupporting cleaning area in loading of optical components \nPrepare evaporation material according to procedure \nMaintain inventory controls \nPerform minor maintenance with minimal support \nTake traces between coating runs to verify performance \nLearn nonstandard system operations at a basic level \nAudit personal and peer procedures for process consistency \nSupport senior operators in the training of new employees \nProvide engineering support with timely, accurate information \nAttend and participate in daily quality meetings\nEducation & Experience\nHigh school graduate or equivalent \nManufacturing experience preferred\nSkills\nAble to work in a demanding, fast-paced production environment \nAble to multi-task and prioritize \nForward thinker \nStrong attention to detail and quality \nTeam-oriented; works well with others in the group \nExcellent interpersonal skills \nGood communication, both verbal and nonverbal \nMust be able to effectively listen and assimilate, present organized trains of thought, assure a timely information exchange with others as required\nWorking Conditions\nMust be able to work with acids, radioactive materials and other toxic chemicals \nMake-up and perfumes discouraged while working in clean room to prevent contamination\nPhysical Requirements\nLong periods of standing and/or walking (3-4 hours at a time) \nMust be able to wear a full-face respirator. Must be clean shaven \nMust be able to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. \nBending and stooping required \nMay need to utilize step stool or elevated working platform to adjust within coating chamber and to disassemble/reassemble\nSafety Requirements\nAll employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
