Parts are routinely measured to guarantee that all parts produced meet specification\nUnderstanding and utilizing the correct machine setup\nTool set-up for various materials is performed according to established procedures. Flywheel is accurately balanced and head tilt adjustments made\nProcess notes are maintained to record key manufacturing parameters and issues. Work instructions are followed. Work order report sheets are utilized to note process variation. First time yield is accurately documented\nThe operator must be able to work independently to solve minor problems on a diamond flycutter; where appropriate the nature and solution to the problem should be reported to the supervisor or shift lead\nProduction activities are wanded accurately. Quality documentation is completed as required and the machine maintenance and incident reports are completed when necessary\nDevelop a good understanding for the QA procedures associated with testing of flycut diamond turned components.\nOpportunities to multitask and run multiple machines to ensure maximum production output without making errors\nErrors and accidents are reported immediately to the shift lead, maintenance supervisor, or engineers. Root cause analysis and corrective actions are fully supported\nOperators are required to verify all setups to ensure the machine will not crash\nAll Coherent and departmental safety practices and procedures are followed at all times\nAll areas are maintained in an organized manner\nEnsure equipment is maintained based on preventative schedules\nMaintenance requirements and machine or utility anomalies are reported promptly to the supervisor\n\nEducation & Experience\nHigh school graduate or GED\n0-2 years’ manufacturing experience\n\nSkills\nWell-developed communication and organizational skills\nStrong mechanical aptitude\nAbility to handle diverse detailed tasks\nAbility to work with minimal supervision and adjust to daily work requirements\nAbility to read drawings and engineering notes\nMust be both team-oriented and self-motivated\nCompetent math skills\nStrong attention to detail and quality\n\nWorking Conditions\nClean room environment within manufacturing plant\nUse of high-precision machines and metrology equipment\n\nPhysical Requirements\nLong periods of standing\nConsistent attention to several pieces of equipment and ability to effectively multitask on a multitude of tasks\nHigh degree of concentration\nWorking with chemicals, cleaning solvents, toxic and hazardous materials\n\nSafety Requirements\nAll employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
