This includes analysis, modeling, simulation, and measurement of optical and electrical performance. \nPart of a multi-disciplinary engineering team working on optical transceiver products from conception to volume manufacturing readiness. \nWork closely with firmware, optical, mechanical, and process engineers to design/develop transceiver products per customer requirements. \nMust be hands-on in every step of design process including conceptual and detailed design, prototype build and verification, and final design selection. \nCreate drawings, BOMS and ECO to document design. Interact with program manager, buyer/planner, suppliers to make sure designed parts are available in timely manner for engineering and pilot build. \nPerform transceiver design reviews for Architectural, EVT, DVT phase reviews. \nEducation & Experience\nB.S. degree required (M.S. preferred, Ph.D. a plus) in electrical engineering \nAt least 5 years of relevant work experience\nSkills & Other Requirements\nStrong analog circuit design skills required \nIn-depth understanding/intuition of RF/microwave, power, noise, control, thermal and EMI. \nStrong understanding of circuit theory, linear system theory, feedback, ICs, and high-speed fundamentals required \nStrong laboratory measurement skills required \nExperience with board level design cycle \nExpertise in RF/microwave design using modeling tools such as CST or HFSS a plus \nExperience with electronics CAD tools and electronic system modelling \nUnderstanding of microprocessors and real time control firmware a plus \nFamiliarity with electro-optic devices such as EMLs, CW lasers and Silicon Photonics a plus\nWorking Conditions\nThis position is on site.\n\nMay require occasional off-site meetings or travel\n\nRegular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary\n\nInteraction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job\n\nMay require occasional overtime and flexibility in work hours\n\nPhysical Requirements\nSitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.\nUse of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.\nOccasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for lab or administrative tasks.\nAbility to communicate verbally and in writing.\nMobility within the office environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues.\nSafety Requirements\nAll employees are required to attend scheduled training, follow the site EHS procedures and Corporate EHS standards. designed parts for engineering and pilot builds.\n Resolve all DFMs (Design for Manufacturability) issues raised by process/production engineering and component suppliers, ensuring smooth manufacturing processes.\n Conduct transceiver design reviews for architectural, EVT (Engineering Verification Test), and DVT (Design Verification Test) phases, ensuring design integrity and compliance with standards.\n Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in optical transceivers, contributing to the continuous improvement of our products.\n Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.\n Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on RF, power, noise, control, thermal, and EMI.\n Strong understanding of optical transceiver technologies and their applications.\n Proficiency in optical and electrical performance analysis, modeling, and simulation tools.\n Experience in creating detailed drawings, BOMs, and ECOs for product documentation.\n Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.\n Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.\n Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to resolving technical challenges.\n Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to optical transceivers.\n Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry
