Works with the product management group to define and specify device technology requirements to support company’s product development roadmap\nDesigns and simulates epitaxial structures to meet device performance targets, works closely with the epi engineering group to develop, procure and test the epi designs\n\nWorks closely with the process integration team to define new unit process requirements and targets, design/integrate wafer fab process flows\n\nDefines and creates test structures and layouts to fabricate and characterize new device technologies and demonstrate margin for volume manufacturing\n\nPerforms DC, small signal RF and optical testing and characterization of devices, setup test plan, collects and analyzes data\n\nWorks with the quality group to define and meet reliability requirements for new devices\n\nWorks with product engineering groups to assess performance of device at product level and make improvements as needed\n\nCreates documentation required to transfer the design to manufacturing including all design verification data, corner studies and test plans\n\nWorks with the device modeling group to create device models required for simulation and development of new products\n\nParticipates in on-going continuous yield/performance improvement efforts\n\nEducation & Experience\nMinimum M.S. in electrical engineering or related field with 5 years of relevant job experience\nPh.D. in Electrical engineering or related field is preferred with 2 years of relevant job experience\n\nDeep knowledge and understanding of III-V semiconductor devices and materials: physics, TCAD simulation, fab process, testing, modeling\n\nExperience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and/or Product Lifecycle Management processes\n\nExperience of working within cross-functional teams successfully, interacting with a broad range of functions, skills, cultures, and personalities.\n\nSkills\nPrevious experience as an engineer in III-V electronics and RF R&D.\nIn-depth understanding of all aspects of III-V electronic device design.\n\nFamiliarity with DC, small signal RF and optical testing and characterization of devices\n\nStrong problem solving, critical thinking, and risk management skills.\n\nStrong communication, planning, and organizational skills.\n\nHighly self-motivated with a strong multi-disciplinary background is essential.\n\nWorking Conditions\nThis position is on-site full time.\nRegular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary\n\nInteraction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job\n\nPhysical Requirements\nxxxx\nSafety Requirements\nAll employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. years of industry experience.\n Deep expertise in III-V semiconductor devices and materials, including physics, TCAD simulation, fab processes, testing, and modeling.\n Proven track record in managing new device development projects, from concept to production, with a focus on III-V optoelectronics.\n Strong collaboration and communication skills to effectively engage with cross-functional teams,
