You will report to the Sr. Director of Accounting and join the Finance and Accounting team.\nThis is a hands-on role. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, analyze variances, and review entries posted by the accounts payable team. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who is motivated to learn and grow with the organization.\nHOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:\nMonth-end close and financial reporting\nPrepare journal entries for the monthly close which includes recurring expense accruals, channel partner marketing programs and sponsorships, debt schedule, interest income and expense, adjustments to prepaid assets and other current assets and liabilities.\nPrepare account reconciliations and review financial statements.\nReview open PO accruals, highlight trends, and analyze the causes of unexpected variances.\nReview entries posted by the accounts payable team.\nPerform balance sheet and income statement flux analysis and follow up with business owners outside of the accounting team on variances.\nCross-functional partnership\nWork with the Corp Finance team to resolve discrepancies on open Purchase Orders.\nAssist the cash application team in determining account coding for miscellaneous non-trade cash receipts.\nControls, compliance, and audit\nHelp maintain internal financial controls and procedures and update them to improve efficiency and SOX readiness.\nPrepare audit schedules and review outstanding items lists for external audits.\nComplete census-related forms and other government-mandated requests.\nProcess improvement and projects\nHelp create and implement policies and procedures to identify, resolve, and document accounting issues, and to make the close, reporting, and business processes more efficient and accurate.\nParticipate in system enhancements and implementations that support rapid business expansion.\nDeliver ad-hoc reporting and analysis and take on special projects as needed.\nWE'D LOVE TO TALK IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING\nBachelor's degree in Accounting.\n3+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience.\nStrong working knowledge of GAAP.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.\nEffective problem-solving skills: methodical, detail-oriented, innovative, and highly analytical.\nConscientious about the timeliness of assignments and the quality of work product.\nAble to multitask accurately in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment, and to prioritize workload.\nAble to work both as part of a team and independently.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nCreative thinker who is highly driven and self-motivated.\nPreferred\nCPA.\nNetSuite or other ERP system experience.\nDisclosure Pursuant to Applicable State Equal Pay Transparency Laws - This position has a starting pay range as listed below. Actual salary depends upon many factors, including a candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience, location, and salary expectations, and therefore a starting salary at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range may be offered. This position may also be eligible for bonus compensation, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity grants.
