Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems and certain types of tooling in an industrial environment by performing the following duties.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Performs other related duties as assigned.\nManage and maintain preventive maintenance program to existing standards to ensure compliance.\nAnalyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators in order to diagnose equipment problems.\nClean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.\nDisassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.\nExamine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.\nObserve and test the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters and other testing devices.\nReassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.\nRepair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment.\nRepair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery, equipment and certain tooling.\nStudy blueprints and manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation and operation of machinery.\nCut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment.\nDemonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators.\nRecord parts and materials used, and order or requisition new parts and materials as necessary.\nRecord repairs and maintenance performed.\nQUALITY STANDARDS\nMust be able to understand and perform to quality standards, methods, usage of inspection devices and reporting as required.\nMust understand and complete labor or time sheets accurately.\nSAFETY\nTo maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards, i.e.: Proper use of personal protective equipment and proper use of safety devices, such as lockout, as required. Safe operation of all machinery, tools and equipment.\nTEAMWORK\nActively participate in department/shift/team meetings. Participation with safety or quality suggestions.\nREASONING ABILITY\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
