Expect to get together quarterly for intense in-person working sessions called “surges.” learn more about working at Coinbase.\nResponsibilities:\nConduct detailed reviews of escalated customer accounts to identify and mitigate payments fraud risks, including chargebacks, ACH returns, wire disputes, and account takeovers.\nAnalyze fraud trends and patterns in payment activities, providing actionable insights to Payments Risk management.\nCollaborate with the Payments Risk investigations team to provide feedback on rule performance and risk logic.\nSupport the development and documentation of review processes to enhance operational efficiency.\nIdentify inefficiencies in workflows and recommend process improvements to mitigate risk exposure.\nMaintain high standards of accuracy and timeliness in fraud investigations and risk assessments.\n\nRequirements:\nMinimum of 1 year of experience in payments risk, fraud analysis, or risk operations within financial services or e-commerce.\nStrong understanding of payments systems, fraud detection methodologies, and risk mitigation strategies.\nExcellent analytical and investigative skills with the ability to identify patterns and root causes of fraud.\nProficiency in English communication, both written and verbal.\nBA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.\nDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, in-office environment.\nPassion for combating fraud and abuse, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.\nDemonstrates the ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots (e.g., LibreChat, Gemini, Glean) in daily workflows, continuously learn as tools evolve, and apply human-in-the-loop practices to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality.\n\nNice to Haves:\nKnowledge of blockchain analytics and fraud trends within the cryptocurrency ecosystem.\nFamiliarity with tools and technologies used in payments risk management.\n#P78940\nPay Transparency Notice: The target annual base salary for this position can range as detailed below.
