Learn more at coinflow.cash.\nAbout The Role\nWe're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build the core infrastructure powering global payments. You'll design and implement systems that process billions of dollars in transactions, working across our payment orchestration layer, merchant APIs, and real-time settlement engine.\nThis is a high-impact role where your code ships to production quickly and handles real money from day one. You'll collaborate closely with Product to shape what we build, with fellow engineers on how we build it, and have significant ownership over the systems you create.\nWhat You'll Do\nBuild Core Payment Infrastructure\nDesign and implement payment processing systems that handle high throughput and strict reliability requirements\n\nBuild APIs and SDKs that merchants use to integrate Coinflow into their platforms\n\nDevelop fraud detection and risk management features using real-time data analysis\n\nScale Our Platform\nArchitect systems for performance, reliability, and observability at scale\n\nOptimize database queries, caching strategies, and service communication patterns\n\nInstrument services for monitoring, alerting, and debugging production issues\n\nShip Product Features\nWork end-to-end on features from technical design through deployment and iteration\n\nCollaborate with Product and Design to translate requirements into elegant technical solutions\n\nBalance speed of delivery with code quality and long-term maintainability\n\nImprove How We Work\nContribute to technical decisions around architecture, tooling, and best practices\n\nMentor other engineers through code review, pairing, and knowledge sharing\n\nHelp shape engineering culture as the team grows\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n5+ years of professional software engineering experience\n\nStrong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js; experience with React is a plus\n\nDeep understanding of REST API design, relational and document databases (especially MongoDB), and distributed systems concepts\n\nExperience building systems that handle high transaction volumes or strict correctness requirements\n\nComfortable with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar) and containerized deployments\n\nTrack record of shipping and maintaining production systems\n\nClear communicator who can discuss technical tradeoffs with engineers and non-engineers alike\n\nBonus: Experience in payments, fintech, or blockchain/crypto\n\nThe base salary range for this role is $140,000 to $190,000 USD. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, skills, qualifications and business needs.\nIn addition, the employee who fills this role will be eligible for an equity grant, allowing you to share in the long-term success of the company.
