At CoLab, we're building software that fits naturally into those workflows.\nAs a Product Manager for our Build Forge team, you'll own the product direction for how CoLab connects with the systems engineers use every day. Your goal is to make complex engineering workflows simpler, helping customers move seamlessly between CoLab and their existing tools.\nThis role requires more than traditional SaaS product management experience. We need someone who understands how engineering data moves through an organization, from CAD models and revisions to BOMs, change management, and PLM systems.\nYou'll work closely with customers, Engineering, Design, and Customer Success to identify opportunities, set priorities, and deliver solutions that create measurable value. One week you might be defining how CoLab integrates with Siemens Teamcenter, the next, you could be mapping a customer's engineering change workflow to identify where disconnected systems create unnecessary work.\nOur Ideal Candidate\nYou've spent meaningful time in the CAD, PLM, or engineering software ecosystem. You understand the complexity of enterprise engineering environments and can connect technical details to real customer problems.\nYou're equally comfortable discussing revision management with an engineering team and making product tradeoffs with developers.\nYou bring curiosity, sound judgment, and a willingness to challenge assumptions respectfully. You don't need every answer upfront, but you know how to find the right people, ask better questions, and make progress.\nIf your product experience is primarily in general-purpose SaaS and you're unfamiliar with mechanical engineering workflows, this likely isn't the right fit.\nJob Responsibilities\nOwn the product roadmap for Build Forge, prioritizing CAD, PLM, and enterprise integrations.\nDevelop a deep understanding of customer workflows, including revision management, BOMs, engineering changes, and design collaboration.\nTranslate complex customer needs into clear product requirements and measurable outcomes.\nPartner with Engineering and Design to deliver intuitive, reliable integrations and platform capabilities.\nBalance customer-specific integration needs with scalable solutions that benefit the broader customer base.\nUse customer feedback, adoption data, and business priorities to inform product decisions.\nCollaborate with Customer Success and other stakeholders to support adoption and continuously improve the product.\nQualifications\n5+ years of product management experience, ideally in technical B2B software.\nStrong domain knowledge of CAD, PLM, or Mechanical Engineering Lifecycle workflows.\nExperience with platforms such as PTC Windchill, Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE/ENOVIA, or Autodesk Vault.\nUnderstanding of engineering data, BOMs, revision control, and engineering change management.\nExperience translating technical customer problems into product priorities.\nBonus: Experience with CAD plugins, PLM integrations, ERP connectivity, or engineering workflow automation.\nExtra Details\nCompensation: Full-time, permanent position with an attractive compensation package, including stock options.\nBenefits: Extended health benefits, unlimited paid vacation, and RRSP/401K matching.\nRemote/Hybrid: Flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in Canada or the US.\nEquity Note\nFrequently cited statistics show that people who identify with historically marginalized groups are likely to apply to jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications.
