The company operates an extensive nationwide network of supermarkets and retail liquor outlets, providing everyday groceries, fresh produce, and beverages. Supported by an expansive supply chain and advanced logistics infrastructure, it serves millions of customers weekly while employing over one hundred thousand people across the nation.

From small everyday moments among the team to larger-scale changes unique to a business like ours, as a Coles Services Team Leader, you’ll see the impact of your work connecting to customers and the communities we serve. Whether you’re in a store, distribution centre, manufacturing site or on the road, you’ll play an important part in how we achieve our purpose of helping Australians eat and live better every day.

About the role

Our Coles Services team takes pride in making our supermarkets shine. As a Coles Services Team Leader, you'll lead by example while working alongside your team to keep our stores clean, safe and welcoming. From collecting trolleys and completing cleaning tasks to coaching your team and maintaining high standards, you'll play an active role in delivering a great shopping experience every day.

While this role is based in a primary store, it may also operate as a multi-site leadership position, providing hands-on leadership support, coaching and operational oversight across multiple stores within the region.

About you and your skills

  • Leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop your team through leading by example
  • A strong focus on safety, standards and teamwork
  • Great communication, time management and task prioritisation skills
  • Confidence working on the floor and supporting customers
  • The ability to stay organised while balancing operational priorities
  • A willingness to be hands-on and complete cleaning tasks and collect trolleys as part of your everyday role
  • The ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and push/pull trolleys

What’s in it for you?

  • More cash staying in your pocket: Eligible team members receive 5% discount all year round on your Supermarket and Liquor online and in-store purchases. We also offer additional periods of double discount (10%) at various times throughout the year. As well as hotdeals exclusive to team members that translate into additional savings.
  • Reward through recognition: Give and receive recognition, linked to our Coles values, through our digital recognition platform ‘mythanks’. You can accumulate points to redeem in the online shop for exciting gifts and electronic gift cards from an extensive range of retailers.
  • Opportunities for learning and development: No matter where you start within our diverse business, you’ll have experiences, exposure, and education to satisfy you. Discover and explore a variety of career development programs and job-specific training.
  • Novated car leases: Looking for a new car? We provide access to novated leasing for eligible team members.
  • Investment in your future: Become a part-owner of the Coles Group. Our annual team member share plan offer allows eligible team members to make regular pre-tax salary sacrifice deductions to purchase Coles Group shares.
  • Paid parental leave: We understand how important your life outside work is and offer permanent team members paid parental leave to support you in balancing work and family.

About the recruitment process

We’re continuing to build a gender equitable team, and a culture that is just as diverse, inclusive and welcoming as the communities we serve. We are committed to creating a workplace that is safe and respectful for our team. We encourage applications from people of all ages, cultures (including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples), abilities, sexual orientation and gender identities.
