Not the other way around.\nThis role is located onsite at our Seattle, WA office. \nCobot will offer a relocation stipend if you are relocating to join our Seattle office and currently live more than 50 miles outside of the office location.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, build, and iterate on experimental ML pipelines supporting foundational model development.\n\nImplement and train large-scale models, including transformers and diffusion-based architectures, for generative and control tasks.\n\nDevelop and evaluate reinforcement learning algorithms and frameworks for autonomous behaviors.\n\nRapidly prototype and deploy research ideas into working code to accelerate AI experimentation cycles.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML components into real-world systems.\n\nStay at the forefront of the latest AI research and share insights internally and externally.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nMaster’s degree in Machine Learning, AI, Computer Science, or a related technical field.\n\nMinimum 3 years of experience in applied ML research and software engineering.\n\nHands-on experience training (not just using) large-scale ML models such as transformers or diffusion models.\n\nStrong understanding of reinforcement learning fundamentals and applications.\n\nProficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.\n\nProven ability to write clean, efficient, and scalable code that supports fast iteration.\n\nExcellent collaboration and communication skills.\n\nWilling to occasionally travel.\n\nMust have and maintain US work authorization.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPhD in Machine Learning, AI, Computer Science, or related field.\n\n4+ years of experience in applied ML research and software engineering.\n\nExperience designing ML experimentation frameworks and model training pipelines.\n\nPractical knowledge of simulation environments or robotics systems.\n\nWhile direct robotics manipulation experience is not required, familiarity with robotic systems or simulation environments is a plus.\n\nFamiliarity with multimodal architectures and imitation learning.\n\nUnderstanding of edge compute or distributed ML training infrastructure.\n\nCobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
