Technology plays a critical role in enabling the firm to deliver exceptional service to clients, and we are continuing to invest in modern, secure, cloud-first platforms that support our global operations.\nWorking within a hybrid, cloud-first environment, you will provide senior-level support and engineering expertise across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, identity and security platforms, virtualisation technologies and key business applications. You will play an important role in maintaining secure, resilient and high-performing services while driving automation, operational efficiency and continual improvement.\nKey Responsibilities\nInfrastructure Engineering & Cloud Services\nAdminister, support and enhance Collas Crill's Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.\nManage and maintain Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Server and associated infrastructure services.\nSupport cloud and hybrid infrastructure, including virtual machines, networking, storage and secure connectivity.\nMaintain the availability, performance, security and resilience of critical business systems and services.\nMonitor infrastructure health, capacity and performance, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues before they impact users.\nSupport backup, recovery and disaster recovery solutions, including regular testing and validation.\nWork with application owners and third-party suppliers to support key business and legal applications.\nProject Delivery & Continuous Improvement\nParticipate in the design, implementation and delivery of infrastructure and business systems projects.\nContribute to the firm's ongoing cloud transformation and infrastructure modernisation initiatives.\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, implementation plans and support procedures.\nCreate and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation solutions to improve efficiency, consistency and reliability.\nIdentify opportunities to utilise automation, AI-assisted administration and modern management tools to enhance service delivery.\nAssist with the migration, consolidation and retirement of legacy systems and technologies.\nSecurity & Modern Workplace\nSupport and maintain identity, access management and security controls across the technology estate.\nAssist with vulnerability management, patching, compliance and infrastructure security initiatives.\nSupport modern Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender, Conditional Access and endpoint management platforms.\nContribute to the firm's adoption of Zero Trust and security best practices.\n Technical Leadership & Support\nProvide third-line infrastructure and application support across the firm's global user base.\nTake ownership of complex incidents and technical problems, applying structured troubleshooting and root-cause analysis to deliver permanent solutions.\nMentor and support colleagues within the IT team, sharing knowledge and helping develop technical capability.\nParticipate in major incident management, technical investigations and problem resolution activities.\nCommunicate technical concepts clearly to colleagues, management and third-party suppliers.\nParticipate in the out-of-hours support rota as required.\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\nEssential\nMinimum six years' experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration or a similar technical role.\nStrong experience supporting hybrid environments spanning cloud and on-premises infrastructure.\nHands-on experience with: Microsoft Azure\nMicrosoft 365\nMicrosoft Entra ID\nActive Directory\nWindows Server\nGroup Policy\n\nExperience administering Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams and SharePoint Online.\nGood understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls and hybrid connectivity.\nExperience supporting infrastructure security, patching, vulnerability management, backup and disaster recovery solutions.\nStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills with experience resolving complex technical issues.\nPractical PowerShell scripting and automation experience.\nExperience delivering infrastructure projects and working with third-party suppliers.\nExcellent communication, organisational and documentation skills.\nAbility to work independently while managing competing priorities.\n Desirable\nExperience within a law firm, financial services or professional services environment.\nExperience supporting iManage Cloud and other enterprise business applications.\nExperience with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender, Purview and Conditional Access.\nExposure to VMware, Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops and FSLogix.\nExperience with Azure Virtual Desktop.\nExperience supporting SQL Server and enterprise backup platforms such as Veeam.\nExperience delivering cloud migrations, SaaS integrations and modernisation programmes.\nMicrosoft, Azure or security-related
