We’re a hybrid team, with roots in Santa Monica and teammates distributed across the U.S. and Europe.\nThe Opportunity\nAs a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll join a small, talented team building Collectly’s core pre-service product. Our stack is Python-first, and we’re looking for engineers who are comfortable designing and evolving backend systems in Python. Experience with React is a strong plus, especially if you enjoy working across the stack to deliver polished, user-facing experiences. You'll collaborate closely with the founder, engineering leadership, product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to ship high-quality, impactful features for healthcare providers and patients alike.\nKey Responsibilities\nWork closely with the founder, product managers, designers, and engineers to design and build a high-impact product.\nBuild and ship critical features with intent, strong attention to detail, and a focus on long-term maintainability and scalability.\nOwn features end to end, from shaping requirements and implementation to testing, observability, deployment, and iteration in production.\nContribute to and help shape our engineering culture as the team grows.\nRequired Qualifications\nYou have 6+ years of experience building and operating complex web applications in production environments.\nYou have strong experience building backend systems, ideally in Python using frameworks like FastAPI or Flask. \nYou’re comfortable working across the stack. Experience with React is a strong plus, especially if you enjoy building thoughtful, user-facing experiences.\nYou understand that velocity and quality aren’t opposites. When well done, they’re multiplicative.\nYou think in terms of outcomes, not just implementations. You care about solving real customer problems, even when the requirements aren’t perfectly defined.\nYou prefer pragmatic, well-reasoned solutions over theoretical perfection, and you know when “good and shipped” beats “perfect and late.\nYou’re comfortable owning features end-to-end, from vague ideas to production impact and iteration.\nYou reside in the United States\nHow We Work:\nStart with a 1-2 week onboarding onsite in Los Angeles/Santa Monica with our CTO -
