This role is accountable for executing strategic sourcing initiatives, managing supplier performance, and driving cost, quality, and delivery outcomes across multiple facilities. The Senior Buyer will play a central role in new part introductions and product launches, partnering closely with engineering, operations, and supply chain to ensure readiness from tooling through to production ramp.\nYou’ll report to the Director, PSA EU Operations / Director, Global Supply Chain and work from our Frankfurt, Germany office.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nLead sourcing activities for injection molded components, including RFQs, supplier selection, and contract negotiations\n\nManage supplier relationships to ensure performance against cost, quality, and delivery expectations\n\nExecute cost reduction initiatives through resourcing, should-cost analysis, and commercial negotiations\n\nPartner with engineering and operations on new tooling and part development, ensuring manufacturability and scalability\n\nProject manage new part introductions and product launches from sourcing through production readiness\n\nMonitor supplier capacity, risk, and continuity planning to support operational stability\n\nMaintain accurate system data (pricing, lead times, MOQs) to support planning and financial accuracy\n\nSupport procurement reporting, spend analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives\n\nCollaborate with demand planners and inventory control to ensure timely delivery and optimal inventory levels, minimizing shortages or excess stock\n\nWork closely with engineering, quality, and operations teams to ensure materials meet technical specifications and compliance requirements\n\nMaintain accurate purchasing records in the ERP system (e.g. NetSuite) and generate reports to support decision-making\n\nEnsure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements; maintain documentation for audits and traceability\n\nParticipate in lean manufacturing initiatives and contribute to supply chain process improvements and supplier development efforts\n\nWho Are You:\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience\n\nFluent in German and English, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional, international teams\n\n6+ years of procurement experience within a manufacturing environment\n\nStrong understanding of manufacturing processes, bill of materials (BOM), and production scheduling\n\nProficiency in ERP systems and Excel (VLOOKUP)\n\nDemonstrated experience managing tooling programs and new product introductions\n\nExcellent mathematics, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills\n\nStrong commercial acumen with experience negotiating pricing and supplier agreements\n\nAbility to operate independently and manage multiple priorities across sites\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in multi-site manufacturing environments\n\nFamiliarity with plastics manufacturing processes and tooling lifecycle management\n\nExposure to supplier quality and development initiatives\n\nIndustry-specific knowledge or certifications (e.g., BME, ELA, CIPS)\n\nExperience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement initiatives and/or ISO, EN, DIN standards\n\nExperience in global sourcing and international logistics\n\nSalary Range: The salary range for this position is €73,792.11 - €97,590.07.
