Your recruiter will be able to clarify expectations and answer any questions you have.\nWe’re looking for a Staff Project Manager to lead some of Collectors' most complex, high-visibility initiatives. You'll run enterprise cross-functional projects, such as site expansions and new business initiatives, and technology and automation projects, such as AI-assisted grading and systems rollouts, from kickoff through launch.\nAs a staff individual contributor role, you’ll work regularly with executive leaders, including C-suite stakeholders. Many of the initiatives you lead will involve confidential business, financial, and strategic information, so sound judgment and discretion are essential.\nYou'll report directly to the Director of Continuous Improvement and work onsite at our Santa Ana, CA headquarters. We believe in-person collaboration with our operations, technology, and leadership teams is critical to success in this role.\nWhat You'll Do:\nProject Leadership and Execution\nLead large, complex projects from initiation to close, delivering on scope, schedule, budget, and quality commitments.\nBuild and maintain integrated project plans, including milestones, dependencies, critical path, and resource needs across multiple workstreams.\nDrive decisions and hold teams accountable to commitments, escalating blockers early and with clear recommended paths forward.\nEnterprise and Technology Initiatives\nManage cross-functional projects such as new site launches, operational expansions, and new business projects, coordinating across Operations, Finance, Facilities, HR, Legal, and Technology.\nLead technology and automation deployments, including AI-enabled and equipment-driven initiatives, partnering with Product and Engineering teams to move from pilot to scaled operation.\nDefine operational readiness criteria and go-live plans so launches land smoothly for the teams that inherit them.\nExecutive Communication and Reporting\nServe as the primary point of contact for project status, communicating with executive leadership, steering committees, and business unit leaders.\nPrepare concise, executive-ready updates, dashboards, and presentations that clearly convey status, risks, financial impact, and decisions needed.\nFacilitate steering committee and project review meetings, driving alignment and documenting decisions and actions.\nManage initiatives involving confidential information, including financial data, strategic plans, organizational changes, and pre-announcement projects, with the highest level of discretion.\nMaintain appropriate access controls and information-handling practices across project documentation and communications.\nStakeholder and Vendor Management\nBuild strong, trust-based relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including vendors, contractors, and technology providers.\nManage vendor timelines, deliverables, and dependencies as part of the overall project plan.\nRisk, Budget, and Resource Management\nProactively identify risks and issues, develop mitigation plans, and track them to resolution.\nTrack project budgets and resource allocation, flagging variances and tradeoffs to leadership.\nProject Management Standards\nContribute to project management standards, templates, and best practices that raise the quality and consistency of project delivery across the organization.\nWho You Are:\nBachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus.\n7+ years of project management experience, with a proven track record of delivering large, complex, cross-functional initiatives.\nExperience leading technology or systems implementations, site or operational expansions, or both.\nDemonstrated ability to communicate with and influence senior executives, including preparing and presenting executive-level materials.\nProven discretion and integrity when handling confidential and sensitive business information.\nStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects at once.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nComfortable operating with ambiguity in a fast-paced, growing organization.\nTools and Technology\nSmartsheet: project plans, portfolio tracking, dashboards, and reporting.\nJira: task and workflow tracking, especially for technology workstreams.\nGoogle Workspace: Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive for documentation, collaboration, analysis, and executive presentations.\nSalary Range:\nThe salary range for this position is $125,000-$147,000. Actual compensation on this range varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, experience, and skill set.
