We love having virtual happy hours and celebrating our accomplishments. \nAbout the Opportunity As a Data Scientist, you are a passionate collaborator who works closely with team members and stakeholders. You relish the opportunity to bring your ideas, love of coding, data savvy, and business acumen to improve processes that are expensive or impossible to perform without machine learning. You are not shy about taking on new work you may not have done before while eagerly building machine learning models to support the new digital testing platform or eagerly providing executive leadership critical insights to make strategic decisions. \nIn this role, you will Develop machine learning applications (40%) \nDesign and implement high quality software using the latest and greatest cloud and machine learning technologies \n\nIndependently manage and complete all the work needed to deliver small or medium sized applications and analyses on time and at a very high level of quality \n\nHelp identify and build major components of complex machine learning models \n\nJudiciously evaluate the effectiveness and fairness of models and articulate considerations and concerns around implementing models in the context of the business application \n\nBuild functions, APIs, and data stores to make predictions and analyses accessible to other systems \n\nData exploration, analysis, and prototyping (40%) \n\nCreate insights from existing data and drive the collection of new data \n\nCommunicate methodology and results of advanced analyses using accessible language and intuitive data visualizations \n\nCreate reproducible, documented analyses and models that lend themselves to automation \n\nTeam Operations & Success (20%) \nHelp the team break down the work into manageable tasks and support our Agile maturity \n\nSubstantially improve the team’s productivity and quality by enhancing tools, processes, and code structure \n\nAdvise other teams on Machine Learning projects and assist with establishing Machine Learning governance \n\nAssist in the identification and resolution of production issues \n\nAbout you, you have: \nIdeally a Master’s in a quantitative discipline or computer science, or a Bachelor’s and 2-3 years related experience, or 3+ years related experience.\n\nProgramming expertise in Python (Pandas)\n\nExperience in data and statistical analysis \n\nProven experience in developing Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) solutions to solve real-world problems. \n\nExperience with SQL and NoSQL databases. \n\nA passion for solving difficult problems creatively. \n\nExcellent communication and listening skills, and are able to help others understand both problems and solutions. \n\nThe ability to tell a story with your data. \n\nWorked within a close knit team and enjoy helping your colleagues succeed \n\nKnowledge in CI/CD, DevOps and Agile \n\nKnowledge in developing applications on an Serverless or Microservices cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP, etc.) \n\nFor all roles at College Board: We are seeking individuals who are passionate about expanding educational and career opportunities and committed to mission-driven work.
