This team is currently made up of 30+ engineers, a mix of full-time staff and contractors working on delivering software as a service solution for Financial Aid Management.\n\nAbout the Opportunity \nAs our Test Engineer, you are highly motivated with a passion for analyzing user stories and creating test scenarios and plans. You will help to develop and execute test cases to ensure software quality, and compliance with User Interface, API, and back-end systems.\n\nIn this role, you will:\n\nConduct software testing functions on a Financial Aid Management application \n\nProvide guidance to others in carrying out QA duties, while performing software testing responsibilities \n\nEstablish and maintain technical testing methodologies and processes \n\nDevelop test strategies and plans; oversee the development of and/or develop and maintain test data \n\nDevelop and deliver verbal and written status reports on the testing of features \n\nWork with software engineers and product owners to identify tests to ensure the quality and accuracy of story delivery \n\nAssist in the confirmation of bugs reported from outside sources, document and communicate them to the development team and verify when resolved \n\nAssist in the identification, selection, and implementation of software tools and technologies, and testing techniques and procedures that facilitate automated testing and quality assurance \n\nAbout you, you have:\n\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience \n\nStrong knowledge and experience in Financial Aid Management systems \n\nExcellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to clearly discern client needs \n\nAbility to work as a member of cross-functional project teams \n\nExcellent problem solving and analytical ability \n\nAbility to function both with minimal supervision and in a team-oriented unit \n\nDeep interest in expanding educational opportunities for all students\n\nExperience and/or demonstrated ability conducting software systems testing\n\nBasic understanding of HTML, CSS, browser DOM, CI/CD, DevOpsand AWS\n\nAuthorization to work in the U.S. \n\nAbout Our Process \n\nApplication review will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled\n\nWhile the hiring process may vary, it generally includes: resume and application submission, recruiter phone screen, hiring manager interview, performance exercise such as live coding, a panel interview, a conversation with leadership and reference checks\n\nAbout Our Benefits and Compensation\n\nCollege Board offers a competitive benefits and compensation program that attracts top talent looking to make a difference in education.
