This instructional position is the primary individual responsible for program development, instruction, recruitment, and placement of students. As many of the duties will be supervising groups of students without benefit of additional help or administrative supervision, the job requires significant self-discipline, internal motivation, and sound judgment.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\n1. Teach students the necessary skills/technical knowledge to become gainfully employed;\n2. Develop and revise instructional curriculum;\n3. Recruit students and market the program;\n4. Provide instruction on and access to on-the job training. Maintain records of OJT assignments;\n5. Develop student knowledge and awareness as to the importance of industrial safety, punctuality, personal\ncleanliness, work ethic, and communication skills;\n6. Assist with employment placement of graduates;\n7. Create a safe and orderly learning environment:\n8. Ensure student achievement for all student groups by monitoring the progress of individual students and student\ngroups through the use of appropriate testing techniques and with the assistance of technology when appropriate;\n9. Build positive school/community relations by supporting the mission of the College and facilitating cooperation\nbetween all persons in the school community;\n10. Lead the students in developing constructive peer and student/instructor relations;\n11. Oversee effective and efficient student performance;\n12. Practice responsible fiscal, facility, and resource management;\n13. Model positive professional attributes;\n14. Attend professional meetings;\n15. Select and consult with advisory committee members;\n16. Attend commencement ceremonies;\n17. Other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nQUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. May be assigned supervision of Work Study/Work Arrangement Students. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
