Help maintain gaming systems, support broadcast and streaming activities, and ensure players have a safe, organized, and competitive environment. Collaborate with coaches and staff to promote positive team culture, uphold program standards, and enhance the overall student esports experience.Required Qualifications:\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nSupport the administrative, logistical, and operational functions of an esports team or organization. \nCoordinate schedules, manage communication, assist with event setup and travel, and maintain equipment. Depending on circumstances, duties may also involve social media management, content creation, player development, and scouting.\nManage communications between players, coaches, and staff.\nAttend and promote the Collin College eSports Program on Welcome Days and other recruiting events.\nAssist with the formation and maintenance of relationships with Collegiate and Business Institutions (i.e, video game, eSports companies, etc.).\nMaintain, clean, and organize gaming equipment (e.g., PCs, keyboards, mice).\nSet up gaming stations to exact specifications before events.\nPerform basic maintenance and check for necessary updates or software.\nAssist with cable management and general upkeep of facilities.\nMonitor the uses and metrics associated with the eSports Arena.\nAssist with the oversight of behavior within esports facilities to ensure compliance with all space, program, and college regulations.\nAssist the production team with live streams and broadcasts. Operate broadcasting and production systems as needed.\nSupport the creation of original content, such as packages and docuseries. Manage and update social media accounts, coordinate with external media providers, if necessary.\nAssist with player recruitment and skill development.\nCoordinate with the Student-Athlete Success Coach and program to ensure student success factors. · Help balance academics and extracurricular activities for student-athletes.\nAssist with game strategy and VOD (video-on-demand) analysis. Mentor players and promote a positive and inclusive team culture.\nEnsure adherence to all club or organization policies and regulations.\nSupplemental Functions\nPerform other duties as assigned. \nPerform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures and Core Values.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nEsports and Gaming knowledge with familiarity with esports ecosystems\nKnowledge of major esports titles (e.g., League of Legends, Overwatch, Rocket League, Valorant) and their competitive formats\nBasic understanding of online gaming platforms (Steam, Battle.net, Epic Games, Riot Client)\nAwareness of esports industry trends, player conduct expectations, and competitive integrity standards\nBasic knowledge of PC hardware, gaming peripherals, and performance optimization.\nFamiliarity with console systems (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch) if applicable\nAwareness of esports production solutions: capture cards, mixers, webcams, microphones, lighting\nKnowledge of streaming platforms (Twitch, YouTube Gaming) and broadcasting software (OBS, Streamlabs, vMix)\nUnderstanding of scheduling software and roster management tools\nKnowledge of student engagement strategies and event/program planning\nFamiliarity with tournament rules, eligibility guidelines, and reporting procedures for leagues such as PlayVS\nBasic streaming and broadcast production skills (scene setup, audio balancing, monitoring live streams)\nStrong verbal and written communication with players, coaches, and campus stakeholders\nSkill in conflict management and supporting team cohesion\nSkill in documentation and reporting (match results, attendance, equipment logs)\nEvent organization skills, including tournaments, team meetings, and community engagement\nTime-management skills to balance multiple tasks during practices and events\nBasic skill in ensuring equipment is safely used and stored\nUnderstanding of digital safety, account security, and privacy considerations\nAbility to work evenings or weekends based on competition schedules\nAbility to set up and maintain gaming PCs, consoles, and peripherals (Non-IT level maintenance)\nAbility to provide clear instructions and maintain a professional demeanor\nAbility to work in dynamic environments and stay calm during live matches and high-stress situations\nAbility to adapt to new game patches, meta changes, and evolving team needs\nAbility to work independently without constant supervision\nAbility to learn new tools, games, and technologies quickly\nPhysical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort\nLight Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects.
