Key Responsibilities

Data

• Support team memberswithdeveloping, updatingandmaintainingactuarial datasourcesto ensure the data withinremainsappropriate,accurateand complete, including carrying outappropriate validationchecks.

• Identifyopportunities and suggestimprovementsto make better use of data and produce more insightfulactuarial analysis.

Reserving

• Contribute tothe quarterly and year-endreservingcalculationsandproduction of all requiredTechnical Provisions,QRTsand outputs for financial reporting (egSFCR, financial statements, etc).

• Contribute toregular performance monitoring of insurance schemes, including monthly loss ratio analysis.

• Contribute to the development and embedding of processes to ensure factor reserves and earning patterns are robust.

Other

• Contribute tothe production of documentedactuarialoutputs for sign-off by the Chief Actuary, any relevant committees, and the external auditors (asrequired).

• Automateprocesses relating todata preparationand transformation, data visualisation, reporting, etcand generate concise summary dashboardstoshare with the business.

• Support with reinsurer requests for data and respond to queries promptly.

• Ensure professional qualifications and any CPD requirements are adequatelymaintained.

Knowledge,skillsand experiencerequired

• Studying towardsFellowship of the Institute of Actuaries (FIA)or equivalent actuarial exams.

• 1+ yearsnon-lifeinsurancemodellingexperience.

• An analytical mindset, commercialawarenessand strongwritten and verbalcommunication skills.

• An ability to work proactively and autonomously to take ideas from proof of conceptthrough todelivery.
