This position ensures all fleet assets operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and company standards.\nBENEFITS HIGHLIGHTS\nMedical, dental, and vision coverage effective on your date of hire when enrollment is completed within 30 days of starting\nTwo weeks of paid vacation, prorated during the first year of employment\nFour hours of sick leave accrued each month\nGuaranteed annual company bonus based on the company’s fiscal-year performance and prorated during the first year of employment\n401(k) with company match and potential profit-sharing contributions\nCompany-paid life and long-term disability insurance\n10 paid holidays\nTuition reimbursement\nEmployee wellness and assistance programs\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nPerform scheduled preventative maintenance services on Class 5-8 trucks, tractors, trailers, tankers, and support equipment.\nConduct DOT inspections and complete required maintenance documentation.\nDiagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and fuel system issues.\nService diesel engines, transmissions, drive trains, suspension systems, steering components, braking systems, and HVAC systems.\nInspect, maintain, and repair fuel and chemical tanker equipment, including pumps, valves, vapor recovery systems, product hoses, emergency shutoff systems, and tank components.\nPerform trailer maintenance and repairs on dry vans, tank trailers, and specialized transportation equipment.\nExecute tire repairs and replacements, wheel-end inspections, and alignment-related repairs.\nTroubleshoot and repair lighting, wiring, charging systems, and electronic control systems.\nUtilize computerized diagnostic tools and maintenance software to identify equipment deficiencies.\nMaintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, preventative maintenance activities, and parts usage.\nRespond to road calls and emergency breakdowns as required.\nEnsure compliance with company safety policies and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.\nAssist with inventory management and recommend repair priorities to minimize fleet downtime.\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nExperience maintaining Class 5-8 commercial trucks and trailers.\nWorking knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, electrical systems, and hydraulic components.\nAbility to read and interpret service manuals, technical diagrams, and repair procedures.\nProficiency with diagnostic software and shop equipment.\nValid driver's license.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES\nASE Medium/Heavy Truck Certifications.\nCDL Class A or B.\nTanker and HazMat endorsements.\nExperience maintaining petroleum or chemical transportation equipment.\nExperience with Cummins, Detroit, Paccar, Volvo, Mack, International, or Freightliner vehicles.\nWelding and fabrication experience.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\n\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
