This position works extensively with various departments throughout the Colonial family of companies, as well as external partners.\nThis is a fast-paced environment that requires quick thinking, flexibility, follow-through, and thorough communication. The position will demonstrate the company’s core values of Integrity, Service, Entrepreneurship, and Family. The Logistics Coordinator will report to the Logistics Supervisor.\nJOB EXPECTATIONS/DUTIES\nManage customers’ inventory levels by analyzing sales trends to determine reorder points.\nUnderstand and manage asset utilization to optimize full loads and identify opportunities.\nFacilitate all sales and customer order requests, including order creation, dispatching, and processing.\nMonitor supply availability across multiple regions.\nExecute real-time supply sourcing and purchasing decisions from a list of primary, secondary, and alternate terminals.\nWork with cross-departmental teams to maintain adequate product inventory for all customers.\nEnsure driver execution meets Colonial’s operational standards.\nEnsure deliveries are completed within mandated and established timelines.\nMake real-time driver and asset decisions based on availability.\nCoordinate daily with Fleet Maintenance regarding asset inspections, routine maintenance, and repair needs.\nMaintain the integrity of department software by ensuring all data is accurate and organized.\nCommunicate effectively and thoroughly with internal and external partners.\nUnderstand Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and hours-of-service requirements.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS\nHigh school diploma or GED is required.\nBachelor’s degree in Logistics or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred.\nA minimum of two years of experience in terminal dispatch, logistics, or a customer service role is preferred.\nProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and web-based applications is required.\nAvailability to participate in on-call rotations during nights, weekends, and holidays is required.\nDemonstrated ability to remain flexible and develop creative solutions to challenges.\nAbility to work independently with direction and bring forward ideas and solutions to identified issues.\nStrong communication, planning, tracking, and organizational skills.\nDemonstrated ability to coordinate and complete multiple activities and assignments simultaneously.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nThe physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
