As a dedicated specialist, he leads initiatives to simplify and automate processes, ensuring that operational excellence is achieved.\nThis role requires close collaboration with various specialists to identify and implement opportunities for machine improvements, focusing on critical areas such as quality, scrap reduction, performance optimization and the implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.\nThe Automation Engineer is also responsible for supporting the Operations Department in resolving critical issues that require additional technical expertise not available within their team. The objective is that correct and timely production remains the top priority for everyone in COLOPLAST.\nAreas of Responsibility:\nCarrying out, organizing and managing the daily technical and technological development tasks within the Operations Development Department\nDeveloping and introducing new technologies, mapping existing technologies and expanding and documenting related knowledge\nSuggest improvements to increase the availability of machinery\nSuggest improvements to increase automation levels\nParticipate in projects to reduce production and process scrap\nParticipate in projects to increase productivity of equipment and processes\nParticipate in safety improvements\nParticipate in projects for production equipment modernization and technical support for retrofit projects\nTransfer of electrical designs of production equipments to E-Plan\nSolve simple and complex everyday problems\nPlan, coordinate and execute project activities, including software design, coding, testing, and deployment\nManage/Coordinate projects related to the development of PLC controlled production machines equipped with vision and robot systems\nSupport Operations Team with troubleshooting and ensure the continued availability of the production machines\nSupport Operations Team with troubleshooting and operation of new technical solutions implemented in the production equipment\nSupport the operation of PLC controlled production machines equipped with vision and robot systems\nConduct code and design reviews to maintain high development standards and practices\nLiaising with external partners as required for technology development tasks\nBudgeting solutions\nEnsuring documentation of tasks and changes implemented\nMonitoring the sustainability of developments\nPreparing and publishing reports on technological development tasks.\n\nEssential Qualifications:\n\nDegree in Electrotechnics or Automation, with minimum 5 years of work experience in related position\nGood communication skills, both written and spoken, in English. Level: B1 - Intermediate (based on the Common European Framework)\nKnowledge of PLC programming in at least one of the following platforms: Rockwell, Omron, Siemens and Schneider (RS Logix 5000, Studio 5000, CX Programmer, Simatic Step 7, Machine Expert)\nSpecific knowledge in Allan Bradley and Schnider PLC programing is preferred\nKnowledge of Servo motion programming in at least one of the following technologies: Kinetix, Accurax , Elau, SEW, Trio, AMK, Indramat and Sigma Drives\nKnowledge of Robot programming in at least one of the following technologies: Denso, ABB and KUKA\nVision system programing knowledge is preferred (Cognex and Omron)\nHMI knowledge is preferred;\nAbility to create/Update electrical schematics (E-plan)\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic)\nKnowledge of interpreting pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams is preferred\nAble to install and uninstall electrical components\nExperience in maintaining automated industrial machines\nExperience in Project Management, is a plus\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nHigh attention to details\nGood communications skills and a Team player \nFlexibility and ability to handle stressful periods\nProactive desire for learning and knowledge sharing\n\nPhysical or other job requirements:\nAble to work other shifts and overtime as needed to complete tasks\nWilling to be on call to support production needs (Call-In Service)\nRecurrent travelling during the first year (up to some consecutive weeks)\n\nPursuing an ambitious growth agenda, Coloplast develops and markets products and services that make life easier for people with intimate healthcare needs.
