The intern will contribute to laboratory testing, data analysis, circuit evaluation, prototype development, and documentation in accordance with medical device design control requirements. Exact dates depend on school calendars.\nMajor Areas of Accountability\nAssist in the design, development, testing, verification, and validation of electrical and electromechanical medical device systems in accordance with applicable regulatory standards.\nAssist in the design, development, testing, verification, and validation of electrical and electromechanical medical device systems in accordance with applicable regulatory standards.\nParticipate in hands-on problem solving and resolution.\nUtilize laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, data acquisition systems, and environmental test equipment to evaluate product performance.\nCreate and maintain good records of lab work and test results related to assigned projects.\nColoplast employees are required to conduct business to the highest ethical and professional standards; comply with applicable laws and regulations, the Advamed Code of Ethics on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals, and company policies.\nAbility to solder and complete hands-on assembly and rework of PCBAs.\nOther job duties as assigned.\nBasic Qualifications\nPursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.\nUndergraduate student (completed sophomore level or higher) or Graduate student with successful completion of core electrical engineering coursework.\nExperience using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.\nBasic programming experience in MATLAB, Python, C/C++, LabVIEW, or similar technical computing environments is preferred.\nAbility to conduct testing, analyze data, and communicate technical findings through written reports and presentations.\nStrong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nKnowledge of basic engineering concepts and principles.\nAbility to work independently and to be a technical assist on group projects.\nAbility to take verbal instructions and translate them into goals and objectives.\nGood written and verbal communication.\nPro-active; high-performance and results orientation.This position pays $25/hr.\n\nPursuing an ambitious growth agenda, Coloplast develops and markets products and services that make life easier for people with intimate healthcare needs.
