You will work closely with other lab team members in efforts to innovate on protocols of genome editing, reprogramming and lineage differentiation using cutting edge technologies. \nThis position is based on-site in Dallas, TX. Relocation assistance is available. \nDuties and Responsibilities: \nDerive and characterize stable cell lines from primary tissues \nMicrodissection skills for cell line derivations\nTest novel cell culture conditions and delivery methods to optimize gene editing\nExpand clonal cell lines for cryopreservation, genotyping and QC assays\nWork with team members to interrogate targeting, genotyping and QC workflows \nAssist with making edited cell lines that meet quality control criteria for downstream SCNT\nSchedule, analyze and execute experiments to deliver on project milestones\nAttend lab meetings, prepares reports and presentations on the progress of projects\nDemonstrate great organizational skills and excellent laboratory record maintenance\nRequired Skills and Abilities:\nExperience in primary cell line derivation, culture optimization and cryopreservation\nExperience with electroporation and transfection to maximize gene delivery and viability \nExperience immunostaining cells for flow cytometry and fluorescent microscopy\nExceptional aseptic technique as antibiotic free cultures are standard\nOrganized and comfortable multi-tasking to deliver on concurrent projects on time \nStrong written and oral communication skills, as well as creative problem-solving skills\nPreferred Skills and Abilities:\nExperience with high throughput imaging platforms and data analysis\nExperience with automated cell culture systems \nExperience with stem cell culture, such as mouse embryonic stem cells (mESC) or induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) \nEducation and Experience:\nBA/BS/MA/MS in biological sciences, bioengineering, molecular biology, genetics, or any science related field.\nWhat Colossal Offers Full-Time Employees:\nMedical, dental, and vision coverage\nExcellent paid time off and company holidays so you can rest and recharge \nFlexible spending accounts (FSA)\nCompany matched 401k retirement plan\nPaid parental leave at 100% salary for up to 12 weeks\nEducation reimbursement \nAn opportunity to help us return the Earth to a healthier state\nThe team at Colossal is committed, colorful, passionate, intelligent, collaborative, creative, experienced, scientific and world-class.
