You can be a game-changer at Colovore. \nThe Commissioning Manager plays a mission-critical role at the final stage of construction, ensuring that all building systems perform as designed before handoff to operations. \nThis role serves as the bridge between design, construction, vendors, and operations, leading the testing, validation, and certification of all systems across the facility. The Commissioning Manager ensures operational readiness, system reliability, and compliance with performance and redundancy standards. \nKey Responsibilities \nCommissioning Planning \nDevelop and manage comprehensive commissioning plans and schedules across MEP and IT systems \nDefine and oversee testing protocols, including factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and integrated systems testing (IST) \nCoordinate closely with contractors, OEM vendors, and third-party commissioning agents \nSystem Testing & Validation \nLead end-to-end testing of critical infrastructure systems, including: \nElectrical: switchgear, UPS, generators, PDUs, ATS \nMechanical: chillers, CRAHs/CRACs, and liquid cooling systems \nLife safety: fire detection, suppression, and alarm systems \nControls: BMS/SCADA and system integrations \nEnsure all systems meet design specifications and redundancy requirements (N, N+1, 2N) \nValidate uptime and reliability standards (e.g., Tier III/Tier IV, where applicable) \nDocumentation & Compliance \nMaintain all commissioning documentation, including test scripts, results, and issue logs \nDeliver final commissioning reports and turnover packages to operations \nEnsure compliance with internal standards, local codes, and third-party certifications (e.g., Uptime Institute) \nIssue Resolution \nTrack and manage deficiencies (punch list items) through resolution \nDrive contractors and vendors to resolve issues quickly and effectively \nConduct root-cause analysis for system failures and implement corrective actions \nValidate all fixes prior to system sign-off and closeout \nHandover to Operations \nTrain facilities and operations teams on system functionality and emergency procedures \nEnsure delivery of O&M manuals, warranties, and as-built documentation \nLead the transition from construction completion to full operational readiness \nKey Skills \nDeep understanding of data center infrastructure systems (electrical, mechanical, controls) \nStrong knowledge of commissioning processes and testing methodologies (FAT, SAT, IST) \nAbility to manage complex cross-functional coordination across vendors and internal teams \nStrong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities \nExcellent project management and organizational skills \nClear communicator with the ability to translate technical concepts for operations teams \nRequired Experience \n7+ years of experience in commissioning, construction, or operations within data centers, mission-critical facilities, or similar environments \nHands-on experience with commissioning electrical and mechanical systems at scale \nExperience working with OEM vendors, contractors, and third-party commissioning agents \nFamiliarity with redundancy standards (N, N+1, 2N) and uptime requirements \nExperience with BMS/SCADA systems and integrated controls \nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience) \nWhat Success Looks Like \nFacilities are delivered fully tested, validated, and operationally ready with zero critical defects \nAll systems meet or exceed performance, redundancy, and uptime requirements \nCommissioning timelines are met without delaying project delivery \nClean, complete turnover packages enable seamless transition to operations \nStrong cross-functional coordination results in minimal rework and fast issue resolution \nWhy You’ll Love Working at Colovore\nAt Colovore, we believe great work happens when people feel supported, trusted, and empowered.
