You can be a game-changer at Colovore. \nRole Overview\nWe’re seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Engineer, Data Center Operations to support daily operations in a high-density, mission-critical environment. This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, supporting customer deployments, monitoring infrastructure systems, and ensuring uptime across electrical, mechanical, and IT equipment. The ideal candidate is technically curious, reliable, safety-focused, and eager to grow within a fast-paced operations team. You will work closely with senior engineers to maintain site performance, resolve issues, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.\nKey Responsibilities\nOperational Support & Daily Activities\nPerform day-to-day tasks including equipment installation, racking and stacking, cabling, labeling, and facility rounds.\nExecute preventative maintenance procedures and support corrective maintenance under the guidance of senior engineers.\nAssist in monitoring and operating Building Management Systems (BMS), Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), and ticketing platforms.\nFollow SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs to ensure safe and consistent work execution.\nInfrastructure Monitoring & Issue Resolution\nMonitor power, cooling, and IT systems to ensure stable performance and identify potential issues early.\nAssist in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and IT infrastructure incidents.\nEscalate equipment or system issues to senior engineers in a timely, concise, and accurate manner.\nCustomer Support & Remote Hands Services\nProvide professional and timely remote hands support, including power cycling, cable tracing, hardware swaps, and visual inspections.\nCommunicate clearly with customers and internal teams to ensure service requests are handled correctly.\nContribute to a positive customer experience through responsiveness, accuracy, and attention to detail.\nDocumentation, Compliance & Reporting\nMaintain accurate logs, checklists, and records for audits, compliance, and operational transparency.\nDocument changes, maintenance activities, and incidents following established processes.\nSupport asset tracking, inventory management, and spare parts organization.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nWork alongside Senior Engineers, Facilities, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to support operational readiness and continuous improvements.\nParticipate in project-based tasks such as new deployments, infrastructure upgrades, and capacity expansions.\nProvide input on workflow improvements and safety practices.\nKey Skills\nSolid understanding of electrical, mechanical, or IT infrastructure fundamentals (power distribution, cooling, cabling, server hardware).\nAbility to follow technical procedures, safety protocols, and step-by-step documentation.\nStrong troubleshooting instincts and eagerness to learn complex systems in high-density environments.\nExperience using or willingness to learn BMS, CMMS, monitoring platforms, and ticketing tools.\nDetail-oriented approach to inspections, documentation, and compliance tasks.\nClear written and verbal communication skills for internal updates and customer interactions.\nStrong teamwork mentality with the ability to take direction and collaborate effectively.\nComfortable working in fast-paced, mission-critical environments where accuracy and safety are essential.\nRequired Experience\n2-4+ years of data center, critical facility, telecommunications, or related technical operations experience.\nHands-on experience with cabling, equipment installation, preventative maintenance, or infrastructure support.\nFamiliarity with power, cooling, and IT systems in a production environment.\nExperience using ticketing systems, monitoring tools, or facility management platforms preferred.\nAbility to work rotating shifts, respond to incidents, and support 24/7 operations as needed.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nReliable execution of daily tasks with high accuracy, professionalism, and adherence to SOPs.\nStrong support for preventative and corrective maintenance resulting in reduced incidents and improved uptime.\nClear, professional communication that enhances the customer experience.\nEarly identification and proper escalation of issues before they impact operations.\nAccurate logs, documentation, and compliance tracking with minimal rework.\nContinuous skill development, growing autonomy, and expanding competence across power, cooling, and IT systems.\nEffective teamwork that contributes to a safe, efficient, and high-performing site.\nWhy You’ll Love Working at Colovore\nAt Colovore, we believe great work happens when people feel supported, trusted, and empowered.
