You can be a game-changer at Colovore. \nRole Overview\nWe are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and technically curious Project Engineer, Construction to support the delivery of Colovore's high-density data center development projects. Reporting to a Project Manager, this role will assist with project coordination, contractor management, documentation, schedule tracking, and site execution from pre-construction through commissioning and turnover.\nThe ideal candidate has experience supporting mission-critical or MEP-intensive construction projects and is looking to grow into a project management career. This individual will work closely with internal stakeholders, design teams, contractors, and vendors to help ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to Colovore's quality standards.\nKey Responsibilities\nProject Coordination & Execution\nSupport construction projects from pre-construction through commissioning and turnover.\nTrack schedules, milestones, risks, and action items to help keep projects on schedule.\nWalking down schedule status against physical reality weekly, opening panels, checking terminations against checklists\nCoordinate project meetings and maintain clear communication across stakeholders.\nContractor & Design Coordination\nAssist with coordination between contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal teams.\nReview and track RFIs, submittals, drawings, and project deliverables.\nSupport resolution of field issues and constructability challenges.\nDocumentation & Project Controls\nMaintain project documentation, logs, meeting minutes, and reporting tools.\nSupport schedule updates, budget tracking, and change management activities.\nPerform turnover specification compliance audits, including review of torque records, binder sets, and documentation packages to ensure adherence to company and GC turnover expectations.\nEnsure accurate records are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.\nQuality, Safety & Commissioning\nParticipate in site walks to monitor construction progress, quality, and safety compliance.\nSupport testing, commissioning, punch-list management, and project closeout activities.\nHelp ensure turnover documentation is complete and organized.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with Development, Engineering, Operations, Procurement, and Finance teams.\nAssist with project handoffs and operational readiness activities.\nContribute to continuous improvement and lessons learned initiatives.\nKey Skills\nStrong organizational and project coordination skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nUnderstanding of commercial construction processes and construction sequencing.\nWorking knowledge of MEP systems and building infrastructure.\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong attention to detail and documentation management.\nEffective problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.\nCollaborative approach with a willingness to learn and grow.\nExperience with tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, ACC, MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar platforms preferred.\nRequired Experience\n2-5 years of experience supporting construction, engineering, design-build, mission-critical, industrial, or infrastructure projects.\nExperience coordinating project documentation including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, schedules, and change management activities.\nExposure to data centers, critical facilities, MEP systems, commissioning, or technical building infrastructure preferred.\nBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.\nEquivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience will also be considered.\nWillingness to travel to project sites as needed.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nProject documentation, RFIs, submittals, and tracking logs are accurate and up to date.\nAction items, schedules, and deliverables are consistently tracked and communicated.\nStrong collaboration with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.\nPotential project risks and field issues are identified early and escalated appropriately.\nCommissioning, turnover, and closeout documentation are completed with minimal rework.\nDemonstrates continuous growth in technical knowledge, project delivery, and construction best practices.\nViewed by peers and project leaders as a reliable, organized, and proactive team member.\nWhy You’ll Love Working at Colovore\nAt Colovore, we believe great work happens when people feel supported, trusted, and empowered.
