With guidance from the Float Manager, various Branch Managers and Assistant Branch Managers, the Teller - Float role's primary responsibility is to ensure banking transactions are performed accurately, ethically, and in compliance with Columbia Bank procedures and banking regulations. The Teller - Float role is also responsible for traveling within a geographic area to cover branches that need staffing support.\nAlways performs teller transactions and cash handling functions for clients with accuracy and confidentiality. Examples include deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, payments, transfers, check cashing, balancing cash drawer, etc.\nAccurately performs and supports daily tasks that maintain the integrity of the branch. Examples include appropriate use of double custody in balancing the ATM, processing night drop deposits, balancing negotiable instruments, processing returned mail, balancing credit card machine, updating lobby rate sheets and brochures, etc.\nMitigate risk by ensuring safekeeping of money in cash drawer and prompt accounting or transfer of funds.\nInteracts with external and internal clients, anticipates needs, and consistently provides proactive solutions and problem resolutions in alignment with the bank’s Breakthrough Client Service Standards.\nContinuously deepens knowledge of Columbia Bank's product and service offerings and stays current on changes.\nDiscuss and uncover customer’s financial needs to identify and offer appropriate products and services.\nSupports referral goals for branch by focusing and identifying and referring basic bank products to the appropriate business partner.\nAbout You:\nHigh School Diploma or GED, required.\n1 year of previous banking or customer service experience, preferred.\nBilingual preferred.\nAbility to learn and comply with all Bank policies, procedures, and systems.\nDemonstrates exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with written numbers, words, and verbal and written instructions.\nConsistently demonstrates ability and willingness to build relationships with clients and other bank associates.\nBe a part of a bank that invests in you!\nProfessional Development: Grow your skills with our tailored premier banker programs.\nCareer Growth: Clear paths to achieve your professional goals.\nThe pay range for this role is $20.00 - $22.00\nThe pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location.
