They ensure the vessel remains seaworthy and efficient under extreme polar conditions, supporting both passenger safety and scientific or expeditionary operations.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES\nThe Officers in Charge of an Engineering Watch are assigned duties as directed by the Chief Engineer or Staff Chief Engineer. \nStanding a watch as assigned by the Chief Engineer.\nMaintaining evaporator, RO units, fuel and lube oil purifiers.\nMaintaining the boiler and exhaust gas boiler.\nMaintaining of air compressors.\nThe operation and maintenance of OWS and bilge pumps.\nEnvironmental engineer assigned the operation/maintenance of Marinefloc under Staff Chief Engineer’s direction.\nOil Record Book entries under the guidance of the Staff Chief Engineer and Chief Engineer’s approval.\nKeeping accurate records of work performed in NS5 and in daily engine work book.\nOn daily basis execute all scheduled and unscheduled jobs that Staff Chief Engineer (or C/E)\nengineer assigns to him and reporting them on NS5 and on engine work book as required.\nThe safe operation of all machinery during watch.\nAlso responsible for:\n- All safety equipment including lifeboat engine systems\n- Water analysis\n- Preparation and completion of bunkering procedures\n- Reporting consumption of fuel/lubricants/chemicals\nPerforming emergency duties as assigned on the Muster List.\nAssist with additional duties as requested by the ships management.\nUphold all of the Company's Guiding Principles:\nCOMPANY'S GUIDING PRINCIPLES\nEnsure that everything we do adds value to the guest experience\nIntegrity is our prime equity - never compromise it.\nPositively impact the areas we explore and in which we work.\nTreat everyone with dignity and respect.\nHonor the value of service.\nMaintain our expedition heritage by fostering a spirit of exploration and discovery.\nDemonstrate leadership; excel in knowledge; inspire others.\nInnovate, test and evaluate.
