They provide exceptional service to existing trust clients. This role will act as the quarterback on relationships pertinent to client subject matter requirements.\nPerform a variety of written and verbal communication tasks and projects in order to ensure satisfactory completion and implementation of work or projects.\nProvide in-house expertise on issues relating to trust administration.\nBook new business and retain business through cross-selling.\nCall on assigned branches regularly for branch education in trust products.\nParticipate in community activities that provide opportunities to form business relationships with candidates for trust services.\nAdminister accounts in a satisfactory manner, including maintaining account files.\nAssist clients in achieving planned goals established at the opening of their account within an acceptable level of risk.\nMost often administers moderately complex relationships.\nOther responsibilities as assigned.\nDemonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities - knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.\nFollows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.\nMaintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.\nMay be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.\nActively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Columbia corporate culture in all actions and words.\nTakes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate.\nEmbraces our vision to become “Business Bank of Choice”\nMay perform other duties as assigned.\nAboutYou:\nBachelor’s degree, if one has practical trust experience, a bachelor’s degree is preferred\nCannon or other training, required.\nCTFA or MBA, preferred.\n5 years of Trust Officer experience, required.\n5 years of experience managing moderately complex, multi-tiered trust relationships. \nKnowledge and understanding of the trust data processing system, as well as general principles of trust accounting and estate tax law.\nStrong interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with customers and staff.\nExceptional verbal and written communication skills.\nGood analytical abilities to recognize and solve clients’ estate planning and investment issues.\nEffective organizational and time management skills.\nAbility to work in a team environment as well as independently.\nBasic knowledge of tax preparation, particularly for fiduciary income tax returns and estate tax returns.\nAbility to use personal computers, Windows, and related software applications.\nBasic knowledge of the commercial banking environment to facilitate trust clients’ financial needs and the trust company’s interface with commercial affiliates.\nWorking knowledge of the commercial banking environment to facilitate trust clients’ financial needs and the trust company’s interface with commercial affiliates.\nAbility to develop referral network that helps generate new business to meet organization sales objectives.\nAbility to work within a team environment to facilitate subject matter expertise on estate planning strategies.\nStrong presentation or public speaking skills.\nAbility to write topics as subject matter expert.\nStrategic thinking on business initiatives that drive new business goals.\nPassed the CFTA Level 1 test, required.\nOccasional travel\nThe pay range for this role is $78,000.00 to $140,000.00.\nThe pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location.
