# Server Engineer

Description The Server Engineer will form part of the Server Administration team and report directly to the Manager: IT Infrastructure. The role supports in ensuring the effective operation, stability, and security of the corporate server environment. The role encompasses the management of physical hardware and virtual platforms, user accounts and domain administration, email systems, server and hypervisor operating systems, database administration, storage (SAN), backup and recovery, and other critical data center functions. Requirements Key Performance Indicators: Technical job role requirements include: Microsoft Active Directory, Domain Administration - MS Active Directory & Domain Administration , users , groups and permissions management. Server Virtualization - Configuration, operation and administration of the Virtual Server platform, including related Storage (SAN) and Networking. Backup & Recovery, DR - Competent use of technology & practices to ensure business continuity of IT systems , and compliance in terms of audits & risk assessments. Problem Solving, Troubleshooting & Performance Management - able to effectively use IT Infrastructure tools for monitoring , alerting
