Stops machines and reports malfunction to process technician or supervisor. \nClear alarms, runner jam, sensors, leak detectors.\nStages packaging material or WIP components; ensures quality of finished product, stamps and packs on assembly and downstream packaging automation equipment. \nPerformance visual and basic dimensional inspections to determine overall acceptability and quality of ware.\nMaintain a clean and safe work environment.\nAdhere to and communicate to others all plant Health, Safety and Quality guidelines and GMP.\nOther duties as assigned.\nAdditional Responsibilities & Skills for our SQF Certified Sites:\nHave a basic understanding of the cGMPs and Good Hygiene Personnel Practices\nNotify SQF Practitioner and/or Supervisor of any repairs or adjustments that are required.\nPerform Basic Sanitation Functions\nPerform all duties necessary to meet Company, and or Regulatory Requirements / standards as prioritized by the Company, HACCP, and SQF.\nNotify SQF Practitioner/Quality Manager or any other Management personnel of ANY Food Safety or Quality issues.\nIdentify problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the raw material, processes, quality system, or safety system, by performing Production/Quality Checks as assigned.\nAbility to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system. Be able to execute and follow the HOLD SOP.\nControls further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.\nEmployee follows all Food Fraud/food Defense Policies while on company property.\nThorough understanding of all Company policies, including GMP’s and safety policies, HACCP & SQF.\nSafety and Cleanliness\nAdhere to safety policies. \nMaintain a clean and safe work area and report any unsafe conditions to supervisor.\nWear company issued personal protective equipment (PPE) such as uniforms, gloves, hairnets.\nWHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:\n“A Comar employee who will represent the customer and be the consumer’s advocate”\nAre You?\nA High School or Vo-Tech School graduate\nPreferred:\n1-3 years prior experience as a production operator.\nAdditional education in related vo-tech, operations or manufacturing field.\nPrior experience in ISO 9001 and/or ISO13485 manufacturing environment.\nDo You?\nLog in to DELMIAWorks (formerly IQMS) and enter production data and complete production forms (batch record).\nRead, understand and follow documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, and procedures. \nApply basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide. \nCarry out instructions provided in written, oral, or visual/diagram form.\nSelf-motivated, conscientious, with a results-oriented mindset.\nGood organizational and communication skills to work independently and also in a team environment.\nAbility to use measuring devices such as Comparator, Dial indicator, Go/No Go gauges. \nAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and demands. \nStrong technical aptitude, as well as analytical and problem-solving skills to trouble shoot and solve problems. \nSound judgment - ability to work efficiently with many competing demands.\nAbility to communicate their job-related functions with other employees, customers and auditors as needed.\nEffectively communicate with supervisor.\nThe ability to read, write, and comprehend information provided.\nDo you Enjoy Physical Work where you will?\nStand for most of the work shift.\nUse hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, crouch, bend, twist, and only occasionally sit. \nLift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
